I visited Canton Harbour Rehabilitation center to see my Uncle who has had a few issues with walking and after a short illness he was taken here to help. The staff here are amazing. The staff, doctors, and especially the nurses that are helping my uncle have all been beyond helpful. I can honestly say they have gone above and beyond to help him start walking assisted and because of them he has made great progress. I highly recommend using this rehabilitation Center for any family member no matter how stubborn, because apparently they can handle the job... And then some!!!
My wife was admitted at Future Care Canton after a major surgery that left her partially paralyzed. Surgery was at Hopkins were she had acute rehab on Meyer 7. When she was admitted to Future Care she was placed on a nursing home floor instead of rehab floor. She had to lay in wet diapers for a day and a half. She was told not to try to talk to her roommate, this roommate proceeded to spray air freshener spray, a bottle a night, ugh. My wife was in sound mind and made a fuss, and was moved to the rehab floor. Once moved she had to deal with a broken bed, and a person across the hall who was screaming and yelling non stop, eventually police came because of his behavior. It took two days for him to be removed. The staffing was spotty, she had alot of good nurses and aids, and a few not so good. On weekends she couldn't even get a cup of water! I arrived and had tried to get some for her, but the hydration station was empty of water and ice. At one point her charging cable and plug were stolen while she was in PT. Really! Who steals a charging set up? It was a six foot cable and she was bed and wheelchair bound. Shame on that person. On her last day there the AC leaked on the ceiling above, tiles were taken down down, and the ceiling was full of mold. PT was good for her and the setting on the harbor was nice, she would wheel out and watch the boats go by. This place was one of the better places we could have gone to. I would have hated to see an Autumn Lake facility, we avoided them at all cost. PS, I see the administrator wants me to call, but this is a tactic used to make readers of this review think they really care. If I call will things change? I doubt it. What I have reviewed it totally true, and I could add more items, but choose not to. Don't get me wrong, this place is not the worst, but certainly not the best.
Future Care Canton Harbor has been taking care of Mom very well. We are all happy the professionalism the staff and the care and understanding they show her and us, her children.
My Mom just had bone in her foot surgery and got here yesterday as part of physical therapy treatment plan. During my visit the staff checked in on her quite often. Responded to her care and needs. The staff was helpful at the desk for being a 1st time vister.
This is Ivis Burris when I signed up it gave my oldest Son's name, which Troy Burris Jr. Perhaps when I return this issue will be fixed. Other than that this was a great experience here at Future Care Canton Harbor. Great Hospitality staff, Great Customer Service Skills. Social Worker and Administrative staff awesome attitude and very inviting. Me and one of my colleagues visited your establishment to give out information for persons that are wanting to go back into the community through the Waiver Program.
