THIS IS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR LOVED ONES!!! My Mom was Bullied, made fun of & mistreated by CNA’s. We made numerous complaints & nothing changed. When going to visit & eat lunch with my Mom I personally witnessed her & her roommates call-light on for over 40 minutes. Her roommate was blind and her lunch was put down on her tray with no instructions as to what was on the plate so I had to help her on multiple occasions. My Mom’s 1st roommate threw feces on the floor & verbally threatened to hurt my Mom physically. I heard the threats when speaking to her on the phone & demanded that the roommate be removed immediately. I was told by the director that “Usually the resident making the complaint has to move rooms but we will move the roommate this one time.” My Mom fell coming out of the bathroom and was left on the floor for over an hour with both her & her roommate screaming for help. My Mom complained her shoulder hurt very bad and her head hurt for days/ weeks after. My Mom was given a medication that was specifically on her medical chart as not being able to have. When I demanded she be taken to the ER the Dr there admitted my Mom and advised us that she had tore three ligaments in her shoulder & had a small brain bleed (which he thought was from the fall she had taken a month earlier). We immediately had her moved to a new facility. When the Charge nurse and Director called to speak to me- I was told by the charge nurse “Maybe if you would visit your Mom more often she wouldn’t have such bad anxiety.” She would not take any responsibility for the many complaints we had made about the mistreatment from CNA’s, the complaints the facility was not sending my Mom to be looked at after her fall or about Medication given to my Mom that should not have been. When going to get my Mom’s belongings two staff members said they were sad to see my Mom go but said “They treat your Mom so bad here. It’s good your moving her.” This facility does not like elderly that have full mental capacity and speak out against being mistreated. I cannot stress enough, if you love your elderly family member… DO NOT PLACE THEM HERE AT THIS HORRIBLE FACILITY! Didn’t want to give one star but there isn’t an option for 0 stars.
DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!! My mom was here for rehab, they did not check on her, she would hit the call button and it would be ignored, I came in to visit her and she was in a highchair in her room dying... God knows how long she was like that. I had to get the nurse, I had to tell the nurse to call 911, and two days later she passed. The paramedics brought her back but 11 ribs were broken due to CPR. After she passed I asked to speak with the Head Nurse and she was too busy to meet with me. I had to constantly raise hell to make sure my mom was taken care of. She was suppose to get PT and OT and be out within a month. Due to their lack of give a damn she died. The nurses are god awful! The food! The patients are seen as non human. We asked why some people are left in wheel chairs in the hallway with their heads slumped over and they said that they don't have enough people to check on everybody and correct their posture. I will never get to hear my mom, talk to her, give a hug, because of them. No lawyer wanted my case because my mother was older... I pray at least one of you reading will move your loved one out of here or not let them in, in the first place. FIGHT FOR YOUR LIVED ONES, I will ALWAYS live with this regret!
This place is not luxurious, it is not very big, it does not have many play areas for the residents, but the staff is very friendly, they treat the residents well, they respect their dignity. That to me is worth more than the elegance of a place. It is crisp and clean. I love this place
Place is a JOKE! Elderly sitting there for hours with their call lights on needing to be put in bed or taken to bathroom or showers or even in their own feces and the staff giving them attitude about it. Do not bring your loved ones here, they will be neglected.
