THE LEGACY REHAB & CARE CENTER

My husband was sent to Legacy from the VA hospital in Las Vegas. He arrived August and is being released, October 13th. The treatment he received was excellent! Every person he came in contact with was professional, attentive and kind. The food was decent, the facility is clean. Upper management is accessible. Any concerns where handled, and if they didn't have the answer they would get it. I thank all the staff for making a difficult situation bearable.

I was just released from there a week ago after coming from a hospital in Vegas. The nurses were great, the PT team was outstanding. I could not stand or walk when I got there. I was up walking and out in four days. The only reason I give it a four is because the place needs to add more staff at night. Those poor nurses were going crazy trying take care of all those patients all by themselves. Legacy you need more night staff.

We highly recommend Legacy Rehab and Care Center, Bullhead city. My mom spent the last six months of her life here. We received outstanding care from the first day. The staff was very caring and compassionate. The facility was clean all the time thanks to workers like Carmen. The food was very good. We cannot say enough about the nursing and support staff. Amy in activities was very involved with my mom. Supervisor PA Sam was very helpful, easy to speak with and answered all our questions. The nurses, Joy, Juanita and Tonya were outstanding and kept us informed of my mom’s condition. Nursing Aide Nichole was always very helpful. And my mom’s favorite Physical Therapist Paula went above and beyond to make sure my mom was comfortable. We know we haven’t named everyone who was involved in my mom’s care, but all your efforts will never be forgotten. You all are very special people. My wife stayed here for a very short stay. She was only supposed to be there for 7 to 10 days for rehabilitation therapy. She contracted COVID there and ended up dying in their care the night she was returning from a 5 day stay at Warm C . The night she came back to finish her therapy they found her passed away. They told me she was still warm when they found her had no idea what time she really passed. So what kind of a place doesn't keep a eye on someone just returning from the hospital? Also they told me she had to go to warm c, and told me I couldn't take her to valley view or have her transported there by ambulance. It's a understaffed, poor quality, and very non attentive place if you value your loved ones please look into a place that takes better care and has the welfare of the patient in mind. They wouldn't even produce a report of what actually took place the night she died there. Of how often she was checked on and when they actually found her. Please remember this if you ever have to bring any one to a place like this. I should have removed her the one time I remember buzzing her call light several times with no response to go to the bathroom.
