My 87-year-old mom Shanti, stayed at Peninsula Post Acute, for six weeks this year and the care she received was truly exceptional. We are deeply grateful for the efficiency and professionalism displayed by the staff.
From the very beginning, we felt like she was being looked after by family. The staff was warm, patient, and genuinely attentive to all her needs. They treated her just like you would treat your own mom at home.
We Highly recommend Peninsula Post Acute for your family’s needs!
Staff acknowledgement:
Thank you for your heartfelt care. Mom adored each of you. Apologize if I have missed someone.

My 92 year old mom spent three months here and successfully transitioned to assisted living thanks to the great staff at Peninsula Post-Acute. I am (unfortunately) quite familiar with these kinds of places and this one is a cut above. Staff are efficient, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this facility.

An auntie, 85 years old fell and needed time to recover, the family chose Peninsula Post-Acute. They made a good choice. Although the place is dated. They have a good system in place , providing residents with PT and truly skilled nursing.

My elderly mother was transferred to Peninsula Post Acute in Burlingame on August 12th after hospitalization for pneumonia and sepsis. She was still on antibiotics and at high risk of complications, and required close monitoring. Instead, she experienced neglect and unsafe care.
A nurse named ( Grant Stanley ) treated her in a rude and unprofessional manner, and I personally overheard him use offensive language toward her on the phone. We reported this immediately and requested he not be involved in her care. Despite that, we later saw him in her section, showing disregard for patient safety and for our concerns. On another occasion, he withheld my mother’s prescribed seizure medication for more than an hour, medication that is crucial for seizure patients, and it was only given after I called the facility directly.
On the night of August 14th, my mother coughed continuously and developed a fever. She asked several times for her temperature to be taken, but was told it would wait until morning. No vitals were taken that night, despite her being high-risk and still recovering from pneumonia and sepsis. Another patient in the same room even heard her asking for her temperature to be checked and heard staff refusing. By the next morning, August 15th, her condition had worsened, and she was transferred to the ER, where her temperature was recorded at 102°F. This dangerous delay placed her at serious medical risk.
When these incidents were reported, the response from leadership was unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of accountability, staff appeared more focused on protecting each other than ensuring patient safety.
This was not simply poor service, it was neglect. Families should know that this facility failed to provide timely, respectful, and safe medical care to a fragile patient who depended on them.

it took me a while to write this review but I really wanted to let everyone know that this rehab facility is top notch and should be considered as one of your choices if anyone you know might need a rehab someday. One of our relative was a patient of this facility several months ago and I saw how compassionate the nurses are with our Aunt. They make all of their patients feel so special (like a family), well taken care of and most importantly, the rehab staff were really good. They are probably done now with the recent renovation that will make it more appealing giving you the sense of being in a brand new facility. Anyway, keep up the good work PPA team, the best in the west (-:
