A family member was at the facility for about 7 days for rehab. The facility was clean and the food was good. I was told it could be warmer when the food arrived. Nursing staff and therapy staff were great with our family. We were very pleased with how they progressed and they were able to go home in less days than anticipated.
My husband's stay at this facility was acceptable for the most part. The therapy department is great, and the therapy team did what they could to help him regain functioning. Sometimes the insurance company delayed therapy but the team was always ready to work with him and were honest about his progress and continued needs. Jareb, the department head, was quick to respond to my questions and concerns.
Communication with nursing and administration needs improvement. You will not get any information unless you ask for it. And follow up was not consistent.
Like most places, there are good nurses and aids, and some not so good ones. There seemed to be a shortage of staff so pushing the call light did not result in a quick response most times.
Family presence and advocating for the patient is necessary, but overall the care was acceptable.
I had a very positive experience during my time at Altercare. Physical therapy and Occupational therapy were wonderful and all of the aides that took care of me and the nursing staff were very kind and caring.
The Activities Department is one of the best and very hard-working.

My MIL Is currently here. The staff is way undertrained. The things they are doing here make no since. They are going to drop someone from the hoyer lift. She had to soil on herself due to being left for 4 hours when she is not even supposed to be up for more than 2 hours. She sat in soiled linen so long it was burning. They did not bring her any food. Came and wanted her dishes well she don’t have any dishes because they never even brought her food.. We are trying to get her out of here. DO NOT bring your loved one here. I could go on and on..
Don’t put your loved one here. Severely under staffed. One shower in over a week. Finally my family said they would do my laundry after no one brought a laundry bag. Got bed sores because they didn’t help me turn in the bed.
