ALTERCARE OF NOBLES POND, INC

Please please PLEASE do NOT send your loved ones here. I am usually not one to judge until I expirence myself but this place is an absolute mess! We had a loved one go here for rehab and needless to say she lastest only one week before we moved her out to another facility. I read some of the reviews beforehand and thought there is no way it can possibly be that bad. I was wrong. Our loved one was given a broken ( high) bed that they could not fix, a tray for her bed side which was broken and could not lower ( so when she ate it was up to her chin), her and her roomates tvs did not work all weekend and were broke. When you come in all the nurses are sitting on their phone at the station. Every single day her clothes were wet from accidents because when called no one comes for at least 20 minutes ( no exaggeration) and that is actually soon. When another patients son asked what is going on the nurse replied we are short staffed and then he asked if they were suppose to call agency to get help and the nurse replied " we are suppose to, but they never do". Its honestly pitiful. When brought up to the director she stated she had multiple complaints about nurses sitting on their phones at the station when people needed help. The ONLY thing I can say is it was clean. THAT IS IT. Please please please, do your loved ones and friends a favor, do NOT let them go to this place.

I feel it's necessary for me to post a review so my situation doesn't happen to others. From day one I knew that I was facing issues I needed to deal with ASAP. I was admitted for a fractured hip and was totally non weight bearing on my left leg. I needed assistance at all times when I was up, however, I was not getting it at all. I occasionally would be helped from point A to B, or getting ready for the day, but totally left alone, which was not permitted, dressing, the basic needs of daily living, however, it was constant. It could be devastating if I put more than toe touch on that leg. It could blow out my hip which would be devastating and everyone blamed the other. It was a never ending battle. My 83 yr old was constantly asking for help for me although I put my call light on still no one came. The first night I watched them wash out a bedpan after emptying #2 properly but washed the pan out IN THE SHOWER. The same shower I was given a shower in earlier. Made me ill!! As soon as shift change we'd have aides and a certain nurse come in to complain about working conditions, duties, talk about each other, their pay and even crying to my roommate and me. I had incorrect medication issues and missing medications to the point I began taking pictures of the meds especially at night. The meals had little to no nutritional value in my opinion and you'd have to call many times to get the correct meal you ordered. I immediately contacted my insurance company and asked if I could transfer to another facility after speaking with the administrator at Nobles Pond who seemed so detached from my concerns and I was totally dismissed. She immediately removed my name from my door (which was the wrong name to begin with) and gave me two boxes to move!! I immediately found a 5* facility, The Laurels, and things are going fine and 100% better. The care, friendliness, trust is 100% better. This is going to be a long process for me, but at least I feel that I'm in excellent care both medically and physical therapy. For me it's a little bit of a home sweet home for now. In all honesty, I would never refer anyone to Nobles Pond on Fulton Road in Canton Ohio. They clearly do not care about what their patients think, feel or are going through. They also take no responsibility when patients explain their concerns. Please be an advocate for your lived ones anywhere you take them and don't assume the building aesthetics are anything close to what your loved ones will endure. If you think it, witness it SAY SOMETHING !!

My mother stayed here after an extended hospital stay. The staff was kind and caring. The were friendly when we visited and always ready to help when needed.

This place has been a great fit for our family needs. Ashlee F in th admissions department made the process extremely easy and quick. You can tell she definitely cares about her residents!

My mom was in the skilled nursing side and I felt the care was less than adequate. I felt I had to check on her two to three times a day to make sure she was eating and getting out of bed. Some of the staff were great and others acted like a request was a huge inconvenience. Communication was not good either. We pulled mom out and put her back in her home with 24/7 home health care. A lot more expensive but at least we know she is tended too as needed.
