TOWNSEND PARK HEALTH AND REHABILITATION

We are so grateful for the wonderful care my mother receives at Townsend. The staff is fantastic and goes above and beyond to keep our family informed and involved. They are always communicative about her health and include us in her care decisions. The facility is consistently clean and has a lovely atmosphere. It’s comforting to know she is safe and well cared for. During our last visit, one of the residents was playing the piano after dinner for everyone. It was lovely!

When my dad was diagnosed with delirium following a hip replacement surgery, I had no clue what to do. Once the hospital said he was going to be released, I had to figure out where he was going and in a hurry. I’m really glad I found Townsend. Everyone knew his name and treated him with respect. The nurses and his care were top notch. I had daily questions on insurance procedures and how everything worked. Some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met put on a smile and answered my questions and helped me to understand. For that, I will always have a deep sense of gratitude.

4/10/2025 My mom has been moved to Townsend Park for Rehb due to a broken hip with many complications. From the moment she entered the door to current she has had excellent care and treatment. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Mom will not be able to return to her previous living facility and has informed me that this is where she wants to make her new home! That personally tells me she is being well taken care of. I highly recommend Townsend Park for your loved ones. If they need Rehab Services or Living Services, they treat your family like their family. THANK each of you at Townsend for all you do. Freida Watson

The building is beautiful. The food is good. They don’t have enough staff for all of their patients. Patients that are bedridden don’t get repositioned or diapers changed until someone has time. That might be 1100 before anyone comes to change them. If you don’t have family available to watch out for your loved one, the patient just lays slumped over in the bed with no care. Such a disappointment.

We went to collect my father in laws belongings that the facility was aware we would be coming to get. A recliner his figurines and a TY beanie peacock that his granddaughter gave him. When we arrived the lady at the front desk called someone over a walk talkie to let them know we were there to collect his belongings. Now keep in mind he just passed away the day before. We were told that they crushed his recliner that morning and there were only a few effects downstairs we could retrieve. My father in laws sister had told the RN on duty the day before when he passed that we would donate his clothing and shoes but nothing else, she told the man that collects the personal effects to clear the room the family donated everything. Clearly a lie we will be following up on the mallace that we are dealing with. They have no respect for those who pass and clearly no respect for the family that is dealing with a death and wanting to cling to all there loved ones belongings. To show so much disrespect as to destroy and give away or take what they want is not okay in any manner. I can only hope they don't treat other families this way. They don't even deserve the 1 star rating.
