WESTBURY CENTER OF CONYERS FOR NURSING AND HEALING

While every family’s situation is unique, I strongly urge anyone considering this nursing home to take a few important steps before making a decision. Visit the facility in person, spend at least 48 hours with your loved one to see how the staff cares for them, and speak with the staff at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital next door for additional insight. My personal experience: my mom spent less than 48 hours at this facility and had to be rushed to the ICU. Based on what we went through, I will most definitely not be sending my mom back there. The structure is old, and it shows. Each room accommodates two patients, and there are no telematics or systems in place to monitor live vital signs. The beds do not have any grab handles or guard rails. They have a buzzer to call for assistance. With only one shared bathroom, most care tasks are done manually and without any consistent schedule.

Today my nephew was admitted to Westbury Center of Conyers for extended care, and I am so grateful we found this facility. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed with how clean, well-kept, and welcoming the environment is. The staff greeted us warmly and were not only professional, but also genuinely kind and attentive. It is such a relief to know that he is in a place where the team takes pride in their work and treats residents with care, dignity, and compassion. Everything feels organized, the atmosphere is pleasant, and I left with real peace of mind knowing he will be well looked after here. My first time going there in quite some time. It appears to be clean and well kept. I was impressed with the daytime staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The receptionist was so nice and a patient actually volunteered to make sure I got downstairs where I needed to go. It seems to be a good place for the residents.

Enjoy playing BINGO with the seniors. They are lots of fun. The staff is friendly as well.

I came here today for the Westbury annual Pageant for the women and it was wonderful! The presentation was very professional and was presented fashionably. The judges to the hosts were all great and so inviting to all of the family and contests alike. I’m glad I was able to make it today and will always look forward to visiting again to see my family here as well as the friendly staff!
