About

Saint Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center – Medicare Certified Since 1996

St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Dover, NH, is a beautifully renovated 54 bed facility offering short- and long-term care in a family-like and faith-based environment where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. We are proud to be a part of Catholic Charities New Hampshire’s continuum of care. On behalf of my staff, welcome to St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in beautiful Dover, New Hampshire. We have proudly served residents and families across the Seacoast region and beyond since 1958. Whether you’re seeking short-term rehabilitation after a hospital stay or are in search of 24/7 nursing care, we would love to explore how we can best serve you. This can be a challenging and stressful time – you may not be feeling well, or you’re worried about a beloved family member with growing health concerns. You need to find the right facility that meets your own needs and can best support your own goals, whether it’s a safe, effective and quick return home or finding a new place your parents can call home and live life to the fullest every day. Trust is a big part of the process. Trust needs to be earned and continually in place, especially in an environment like ours. Trust must be present every single minute of every single day. At St. Ann’s, gaining and building your trust is at the core of everything we do. One of the many ways is through what we call person-centered care, a term that carries a different meaning for each and every person. Person-centered care means understanding your expectations, getting to know what you like and don’t like, and addressing any concerns or questions you have. It means designing a care plan tailored to your own unique wishes and preferences while adjusting to future needs as they develop. Person-centered care for Julia, who is allergic to gluten, means she can enjoy our gluten-free menu of dining options every single meal. For Rick, it means we never miss his favorite pastime, his Friday night game of cards. For Bernadette, it means she never goes a morning without her beloved routine of tea, wheat toast and a copy of the Foster’s Daily Democrat on her table. And for Fred, it means ensuring our staff does everything in their power for him to block out his medical concerns and physical limitations, and keep that infectious smile on his face. Everything we do is built on trust.

I cannot say enough good things about St. Anne’s Rehab Center, the Granite Unit and Danielle. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my mom feel welcome and cared for. Every member of the team—nurses, therapists, aides, and administrative staff—was consistently attentive, kind, and respectful. They truly treated my loved one with dignity and compassion every step of the way. The level of personalized care was remarkable. They took the time to listen, to explain, and to make sure my mom was comfortable and informed throughout the rehabilitation process. It never felt rushed. The staff care deeply about their patients' well-being and recovery. The environment at St. Anne’s is peaceful and supportive, which made a world of difference during such a challenging time. It’s clear that this center is run by people who are passionate about what they do. I’m incredibly grateful for the care my mom received and would highly recommend St. Anne’s Rehab Center to anyone in need of compassionate, high-quality rehabilitation services.

Exceptional in every respect. Caring, kind, friendly, expert....rehab was terrific, social services fully engaged, food wonderful (how many institutions can say that?). My dad had to be pulled out of another short-term rehab because it was awful. St. Ann changed that as soon as we walked in. This is the place for short term rehab!

Danielle and the Granite unit at St. Ann’s rehab are amazing professionals! My mom stayed there after she broke her hip and ankle. Mom was treated like part of the family and with the respect she earned after 85 years of life. Everyone worked so hard to get her to where she needed to be to go home. She has been reunited with her cat today and is so happy to be home. We, her family, can never thank you all enough for all the work you did to give us our mom back! THANK YOU!

My mom has been at St. Ann’s for almost 3 years now. It was a difficult decision to move her there from her own home, however she was no longer safe living alone. From the start, the staff worked tirelessly to give her great care and make her transition a smooth one. This provided us such relief knowing she was in a place that would care for her physically as well as mentally and emotionally. Everyone welcomed her and very quickly learned all about her, her likes and dislikes and facts about her life and family. Another great thing is the access to attending Mass, as well as, praying the rosary and participating in the Heroes of the Bible class through the activities department. My mom has a very strong faith and this has also been a comfort to her to be able to continue to practice her religion. St. Ann’s also provides so many different activities and they strive to keep their residents busy with lots of fun things to make or do and always manages to give them a laugh and a smile on their face! All in all, I am happy to have chosen St. Ann’s for my mother. It’s a safe, happy place for her to be.

Our family wants to thank the staff and residents of St. Ann's for making our mothers rehabilitation a positive experience. After an extended stay in the hospital and being very deconditioned when asked what rehab center we wanted her to go to, we told the hospital St Ann's. Our mother has gone to St Ann's after several other surgeries and like those times the rehab center did not disappoint. Our mom enjoyed her stay. We especially thank the therapist for helping our mother become stronger and more independent. We also think Dawn C. who could always make not only our mother smile when she was feeling down but our family members who would visit frequently. We recommend this rehabilitation center. Thank you everyone, the Proulx family.
