I was very impressed with how beautiful and well kept the facility is. The staff is pleasent and welcoming. I'm so very glad my Mom is here for her rehab. I haven't seen her so happy and excited to start rehab. She is extremely positive. I haven't seen her smile and talk so much. Thank you all.

If you care about your loved one's well-being and wish to ensure their safety, we strongly advise against placing them in this facility. The nursing staff appears to be intimidated by the cna’s. My mother in law was unable to leave her bed to use the restroom are was rarely changed for extended periods, sometimes exceeding eight hours, despite having me to advocate for her and contacted the nurses' station. Afterwards she was mistreated and wiped down roughly even when she was crying and telling them they were hurting her. While my mother in law was admitted there my mother and sister went to visit her and the cna was not aware they were standing in the room while she was attending my mother in law and was treating her very rough and threw her into a wheel chair. When the cna turned around and saw them standing there she tried to sweet talk them and told them my mother in law slipped out of her arms. To safeguard your loved one's life, we urge you not to place them in this facility. This decision is our most significant regret. Even if you have utilized their services in the past, the facility is no longer a safe environment. The entire institution, from top to bottom, is severely flawed, we know because we tried reporting what was happening to our loved one on more than one occasion while she was admitted there and were dismissed and passed on to the next person in command. In the end the nothing changed on the contrary they got worse and my mother in law paid the ultimate price.

Didn't purchase anything. Picked up a friend for an afternoon out. I do visit occasionally and have been impressed with her satisfaction living there. It is clean, bright, and has a very friendly atmosphere. In the public spaces it is especially easy to forget it is a nursing home. The wings with the rooms are the same but a little more sterile for obvious reasons.

Update - when someone called to speak with me, not the director, her words “I’m calling because I have to, you left a review”. That sums up this place to a tee. Review Our dementia ridden father was sent here for rehab after suffering a fall and we never felt like he belonged. We came several times to make sure that they had everything they needed, living will, our contact info, anything they could possibly need as he had specific things for his end of life etc Made sure they knew he could not be on narcotics 5 separate times because of how he reacts. They were sending vital information to an address that we had not lived in for 8 months, our father needed to be sent to the hospital, where he died 5 hours later and they claimed they had his living will and then claimed they didn’t have it and as a result our father ended up getting life saving measures he didn’t want. We got paperwork sent to us saying he was discharged due to “physician observation needed”. He was dead when that was sent, but no one thought to reach out, we still haven’t heard. The person who called to tell us he needed to go to the hospital was the only nice nurse who said she’d been off for a week and he looked so bad when she just got there. He had Covid and pneumonia and that’s what he died from, but no signs were present when we came 2 days later to see if there was anything anyone needed from us. We were made to feel like we were interrupting - the person we needed to talk to “was on the floor”. That was it. Still no one has reached out, weeks later. Our father got ant bites from sitting in the common area, I had to spray him with bug spray, his foot swole up and made it so he couldn’t do PT. The nurses went out of their way to tell me how mean he was, guess what, he’s mean when he’s on narcotics, which is why we told you 5 times to get him off of them, but dementia patients aren’t usually the nicest, they’re confused. There was a lady there screaming about getting a gun over not having coffee. I’m not a nurse and I understand that is a side effect of dementia, but how dare you sit and tell me that. I had to do PT with my father because they couldn’t do it with him. His previous home Healthpark is a small facility that came to check on him at Lifecare and I highly recommend them. They are no glitz and glamor, they are family and they care.

My first impression was wow it’s pretty and it smells clean! The CNAs are very nice and helpful. Some folks are walking with their walkers and chatting with others. People are calm and seem content. This is a really nice facility for your loved ones to be taken care of! Thank you Care of Life Estero for helping my 95 year old mother get strong enough to come home!
