I was thinking of letting my mother stay here after she got out of the hospital but according to employees, the front door has been broken for months. My thinking is, if they’re willing to cut corners on something so readily visible to new guests, how are they treating your loved ones! Not a good look at all, Fair Oaks Healthcare Center. Make a positive first impression with speculative customers and you’d have more business. Fix your front door, it’s an eyesore!!!

Mom was at the skilled nursing side after hip surgery and received very good care. Staff was wonderful. She is now on the long-term care side and staff is just as amazing. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I spend every evening with mom which gives me the opportunity to see how the operation runs. Organized & efficient. Very clean. Staff works hard to accommodate the many different needs of the residents. Many thanks to the whole team.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Year of Gratitude at Fair Oaks Health Care Center My 90-year-old mother has been a resident at Fair Oaks Health Care Center for a year as of this past July, and I can say with confidence that it was the right decision for our family. When I first walked through the doors, the facility passed the all-important “smell test,” and that first impression has held strong ever since. My mom is a good old gal from Texas who’s never met a stranger and rarely complains — so I take my observations seriously. What I’ve consistently seen is a team that’s largely made up of people who genuinely care about the elderly. Like any organization, you’ll run into a mix of performance levels, but at Fair Oaks, the caregivers who are truly passionate about their work far outnumber those who are just collecting a paycheck. You learn who they are and navigate accordingly. There are so many individuals who deserve special recognition. Brian, from the Activities Department, never gave up on encouraging my mother to engage. After 11 months, she finally joined in for bingo, music, and other activities — and that’s no small thing. Brandon and Larry from Facilities are incredibly responsive anytime something needs attention in her room. And behind the scenes, people like Reggie (Admissions), Kelly and Brian (Activities), Brittney (Nursing), Amber (Social Services), and Brandi (Business Office) have all been professional, kind, and a pleasure to work with. The risk in naming names is that I may leave someone out — but they all deserve appreciation. What sets Fair Oaks apart is the peace of mind it has brought me. A year ago, I had to make the incredibly tough decision to move my mother out of her home of over 55 years. That weighed heavily on me. But today, I’m a daily visitor and I see the consistency of care firsthand. The staff makes it easy for me to take her on day trips — including visits back to her old home, which means a lot to both of us. If you’re where I was — trying to figure out how to do the right thing for your aging parent — I strongly encourage you to visit. Tour the facility. Talk to the staff. Even better, stop a visitor in the hallway and ask them how they feel about having their loved one here. That’s what I did. And I’m thankful I did.

My husband was sent here from Sutter Hospital. He was recovering from 8 fractured ribs, a heart attack and 2 strokes. The second I walked in, I almost got sick from the overwhelming urine smell. It took me 5 minutes to locate an employee to direct me to my husbands room. The employee could not find him on the computer so he had to leave his room to find me. A lady was screaming in the room next to his, another lady kept pleading for help from her room. It was horribly overwhelming. Please check out all facilities prior to making a decision. We most definitely would have chosen a different facility!

Eskaton on Fair Oaks is a great facility with a really caring staff. I especially want to shout out Sandra Brown — she was incredibly helpful, kind, and went out of her way to make everything easier for us. Her support made a huge difference. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for quality care and genuine people.
