MEDILODGE OF GAYLORD

Definitely stay away! Don't even know where to begin. Medilodge more concerned about filling the beds than caring for the patient. My mom was dying to leave and they kept saying "we are concerned about her care" when my mom sat on the toilet pulling the cord for someone to help her get off. Guess what? Nobody came, so she just went back to her bed by herself and continued doing this for the remainder of her stay. My family and I feel that Medilodge made sure they got my moms 20 days of Medicare used up before her release. Everything that was done there could have and will be done at her assisted living place, but they made sure they kept her for the full 20. One last comment (there are many and I don't want to waste my time) was setting up a meeting with the lead therapist. Told her to make the time and we agreed. That time and day comes, guess what? She was nowhere to be found and everyone had no clue about the meeting. Confronted the therapist the next day and it was excuse after excuse. So many faults at this place and it looks like it is a franchise throughout Michigan. Stay away! Do your homework and go to a more reputable, caring rehab place for your loved ones. To the owners, please don't waste your time with your automated responses about us contacting you. Not worth our time. Just want to let people know that they have options. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Our loved one was transferred from the hospital to Medilodge in Gaylord almost 3 weeks ago for rehab. It looks like she is staying put for a while and I am beyond impressed with the level of care and thoughtfulness the entire staff has shown her. They have gone above and beyond in assisting us with logistics, answering our questions, and making sure she is well taken care of. She adores the staff and we are so grateful for everything they have done to turn a very difficult time into a comforting experience. A definite five stars from this family member. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The CNAs are very attentive to the residents. It is nice to be greeted with a smile when you walk into the building.

The staff were courteous and kind. They helped us get a few extra chairs and made sure my dad and us were comfortable. The facility is nice and clean. My dad is very happy with his care at this MediLodge.

You hear all the bad things about places, so it was very hard for me to place my mother here. In fact her time here is the opposite of what I heard, The staff is very helpful and extremely caring. They treat my mom like family. Danielle and Heather have worked with me on all the finical paperwork and her care plans. My mother has dementia and was having a hard time with her roommate and they were right on it in getting her moved to a different room and when she wasn't comfortable in that room they found her a room that she loves and is comfortable in. I don't know Brittney but my mother loves her to death and talks about her every time I'm there. Christina has also has helped me talk to my mom and understand her illness more. All and all from what I've seen first hand they are an exceptional group of people and I am so thankful to have my mom in their care.
