Our Mom was a resident for over two years with dementia and little physical mobility. While there, the care and respect that was given to her was top notch. Although the facility might be considered a bit outdated as compared to some newer facilities, it is the staff that really counts. I was very comfortable in knowing she being well cared for and very safe at all times. I would not hesitate to have your loved one become a resident there!

Physical & Occupational therapy at Vantage @ Hampden: I initially had a hard time imagining a happy ending when I fell and broke my hip & femur in a work related accident at age 76. After six weeks working with therapy professionals here I was up and walking , fully prepared to go home and resume work. Chris (PT) and Heidi (OT) encouraged and supported me through those first tough weeks when I had to learn to stand, to transfer to a wheelchair, to walk with a walker and a cane, until I could walk without the cane. Even though I was discouraged about not making immediate progress, they helped me to recognize actual progress with encouragement and support that enabled me to continue until I could see it too. My therapy team challenged me, supported and encouraged me and never made me feel discouraged. These caring professionals enabled me to heal and resume my pre- accident life. I am grateful for this amazing care.

I want to share with you about our home away from home.
My dear ♥️ momma was there, with Dementia.
The staff was amazing. I would not say it if it were not true. Each and every staff member from Directors to the clean staff, from the cook to those serving and feed those unable to feed themselves. Art, exercise specialist. The patience, skills, understanding, when I knew not what a patient was saying, they understood.
Every morning, a wonderful page of the day, date, weather forecast, facts and history, was given to each and every patient. I hate to use the word patient, a big family feels much better. There is music chair exercise, puzzles, special dates for live music 🎶, spiritual guidance 🙏 if you would like to join in. Everything is available to all. Safety, family fun, and so much more. 💖
My dear momma ❤️ started get real sick. I came in the room and a love lady by the name of Rachel, was with momma holding her hand and stroking her hair, ever so gently. It was as if we shared my mom. My mom was her mom. My eyes well with tears 😢. So very special a gift 🎁 to all is what I will say about Rachel. She is a director she did not have to share such compassion. She did, so loyal to all who live there.
All were so supportive when my momma faded away, in March.
So very respectful, and loving ❤️ came from everyone. I was in awe. If I'm next, I will go there.
Should anyone reading this, considering to bring a loved one anywhere 🤔 please choose Vantage.

My mom was at Vantage, she passed in March 2025.You hear a lot of horrible stories concerning Nursing Homes. I won’t lie I was scared but the staff was amazing. The girls in the front entrance remembered our names and always had I kind word about mom. The nursing staff everyone I came in contact with was helpful and understanding. My mom had dementia, and it was a learning experience. but everybody there was helpful up until the very last day when my mom passed, people came in the room from all members staff with concern and empathy. it may not look like an amazing facility, but what it lacks an appearance it has in staff they care and respect that they give every person that they deal with is I hight recommend. But most of all I Thank them for the care of my mom(Cecelia)
