After a challenging surgery, that unfortunately uncovered other physical ailments, when I was discharged from the hospital; I chose Lorien Bulle Rock as my sub acute center to go to for rehab. The ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews in publications such as US News & World Report were only reinforced here in my current stay at Lorien. The entire staff is caring and hands’ on! There’s so many people by name who have made my stay, and rehab positive, and moving in the right direction to better wellness. I will make sure that in the future; I’ll include those staffers by name as well! My check-in and orientation were explained clear and concise. My room is kept very clean and disinfected daily by staffers. I was admitted during a transitional phase where many patients were safely transported to other rooms. This process was done professionally, courteously and seemless. The care I’m receiving is high quality, and the entire care team works hard to have me focus on my goals, and works w/patience to help move towards that progress. Encouragement is always exemplified by the staff. Can’t say enough about the rehab staffers in OT and PT- who push me to work towards the best outcomes as possible! OT , aides staffers always keep my dignity in check in assisting me in hygiene, because of my current lower extremity challenges. I’m also impressed with the clear communications in continuum of my care- med list is always up to date, medical transfers to my surgeons ofc are done efficiently, and the diet plan is always up to date, and very good and any adjustments are handled with care. As you can see; my experience here at Lorien is wonderful - making “baby”, but positive ‘steps’ towards wellness. Finally, want to commend the leadership at Lorien/Bulle Rock for always being accessible to answer questions, and give guidance. My first choice would always be Lorien/Bulle Rock and I have conveyed those sentiments to family/relatives and friends as well if they would ever need sub acute rehab!

I've been at Lorien 2 1/2 months, recovering from extensive neck surgery. I'm being discharged back to my home tomorrow, after being successfully rehabilitated. Lorien is a first rate facility where everyone from the lady that cleans my room, to the great food served to accommodate my special diet, the doctors nurses and nurse's aids of the medical team, and especially the physical and occupational therapy team. To a person, they are friendly, professional, and competent. I hope I don't, but if I ever need rehab in the future, I would come back to Lorien without hesitation.

Mom was put in here Christmas Eve of 2024 for 20 days of rehab. The actual staff who interact with the patients are really great. They're attentive, friendly. but, MOST importantly, they talk and interact WITH the people! They don't look down at them or talk down AT them. They come in with a smile on their face and they really brighten her day. That being said, I can't say the same for the doctors, et al. I have requested to be contacted by them concerning Mom's care and treatment. It's now 1/22/25, and NOTHING! She spends most of her time in her room and has a nice roommate in a good sized room. She has a great view of the bathroom sink (if the door's open). There is a window on the side, but all she sees is the tops of trees. One of the things that was disturbing is the rugs in the 1st waiting area, and the large rug in the lobby. I was escorting a friend who uses a walker toward the exit. He almost tripped and fell because the edge of the rug! He would have fallen had I not grabbed him and he's 92. I helped him over the rug which had folded over about a good foot! The rug was not securely on the floor. This is a safety issue for people who use walkers, canes, etc. People sitting at the desk never looked over or got up! Made it to the automatic doors to the final room. And again, he almost tripped on the rug! Elderly people don't always pick their feet up when walking, they kind of shuffle.

So pleasant to work with the professionals at Lorien, Rhonda who coordinates activities is always courteous and pleasant to schedule my Bible studies for the residents. When I arrive, Jess and Faye consistently provide the support and assistance needed to conduct a memorable service for the residents no longer able to attend their own church services. Specifically, the keyboard and tables are ready and in place for my musician and I to just walk in and begin the service. Wonderful staff from front desk greeting to the front desk farewell!!

My mother stayed here for 3 weeks about a month ago, after open heart. Amazing staff and amazing facility. I can say that because one year earlier my mother was staying in belcamp at Sterling and comparing Lorien to Sterling is like comparing night to day. There was never a time at Lorien where the facilities were not immaculately clean and the staff was not incredibly gracious and nice. Sterling on the other hand was horrendous. The facility was incredibly dirty and out of date and always had a smell to it. The staff there hated it there and told us constantly how bad they wanted to leave and most of them actually did during the 2 month stay that my mother was there. Meanwhile, you talk to the nurses and the staff at Lorien and everyone seemed very pleasant and very happy with their jobs. The only thing I wish they had was a better vegetarian menu. Other than that, I highly recommend them if you're looking in the area.
