My Mom was sent to Emerald Nursing and Rehab. from St E. after a fall in June 2025. She was staying at the Rehab dept wing (400's Blue). This part has been remodeled and cleaned up. Rehab dept. is close by and In my experience, clean and lots of activities. I spoke to the Supervisor, LORI and Physical Therapist almost Daily. Very kind, Helpful and cared about my Moms progress. Unfortunately, My Mom needed to go to Long term care from there. She was admitted, smooth and well processed. SHOUT OUT to: Natasha and Marianela in the admitting office. Always kept me updated Daily and shown concern, kind and cared. Also LEO social worker kind, helpful and stayed in contact. Explained process. And for Meeting and working with them. I am Truly Blessed. I spent 45 days in Hollywood and Visited Emerald daily. ( am and pm 6 hours daily Visiting my parents. In July 2025, I moved my Father who is 94 to Emerald from another Facility. Best move we made. Both Mom and Dad are there. Getting the care they need. I got to know the Nurse, patients, doctors and staff very well. SHOUT Out to: Javier, UM. Freddy Gonzalez DON, Jason Reiz admin, Aylisa Jackson RN, ERIC RN. Emerald was HILCREST about a year ago and needed Help. They are still going through the process of modernizing some of the wings and the change process and branding. I saw for my self how they clean and care for patients. My Parents were always cleaned and fresh clothes daily. Well, Its not Perfect. But nothing ever is. The Health Care system is complicated. They are doing there best they can and I look forward as they continue to grow and remodel. I will be back to visit my parents in Oct. 2025. I will be there am and pm (Cause I Can). Shout out to Receptions, always Helpful. I grew to Love her.... Briana. Invoice office, amazing: TEDRA and Ambri, explained everything where I can understand and worked with me. Very Impressed. Thank You Emerald. I know you will keep Growing and Improving. Everyone needs a Chance to prove them selves. and You will. Care for the patient is #1. ** In my next review in Nov.2025 pics will be added, and update on facility.*** Thank you.

This is the worst place I’ve ever stepped foot in, you have to beg some of the CNAs to do thier job. If you don’t LOVE your family put them in this facility. Our biggest regret to take our mom here for rehab. This place should be shut down. Our mom do not eat beef and pork and her dinner yesterday was beef. When I brought to the nurses attention, her response was “what do you want me to do” mom is bed ridden and can’t speak, walk or feed herself. This place makes me sick, some of the CNAs screams at the patients. What. Horrible place, it stinks. The health department needs to visit more often.

My husband was recently transferred to Emerald from another facility and it has been very good for him. He is receiving excellent medical and personal care. The staff and the CNAs are very kind and caring. One thing I especially like is that there have been times when he has not been feeling well and they did not wait for me to call in a doctor to see him and evaluate him. He never got medical attention at the other facility where he was unless I demanded it. Also, communication with staff members is very good. I generally have to leave voicemails when I need to speak to someone, but the messages are always returned promptly. The physical therapy department is also excellent. I am reading some of the other reviews, and I find it hard to believe that they are of the same place because I have not personally seen anything related to the complaints people have left. My goal is to have him home, but until he is medically and physically ready for that, I am grateful that he is at Emerald.

This is the absolute worst place ever. It is absolutely disgusting. It smells horrible. Like urine and poop. Some nurses were nice but so lost. Didn’t even know what they were doing. Couldn’t give my mom the attention she required because there is 20 PATIENTS FOR ONE NURSE! I don’t know how this is even allowed. Nurses would ask us (family) when was her last feeding and last bowel movement when they’re supposed to have all of that on record. My mother didn’t make it a month is this horrible me place. Lizards and roaches crawling around. If you love your family member, DO NOT place them in this facility.

This place should be checked out by the department of health, is a horrible place. Patient care is very poor, while the staff has no compassion and caring personality, they are very rude and does their work with anger and frustration. Very much under staff which is poor service, you have long wait for service, and you have to be scared to ask for help because they attitude will make you more sick.
