GABLES CARE CENTER INC

I was a resident there for three and a half years from 2017 to 2020. Hats off to Pam and Janine in the administration! The nursing staff was awesome and treated me with respect. I loved playing bingo with Rhonda, the activities director! I was able to return to visit which was great. I really miss that place. I recommend this facility for those who need long-term care! 😀

The rehab side was amazing. My mom got excellent care, for the nursing home side it's not as efficient as I thought it would be. Some of the nurses and AIDS are wonderful, and some of them need to have respect for the patient.

My dad is getting the best care at Gables. I still can’t believe all the care in many ways available for him. The staff never treats you like they are too busy to have a conversation anything. My mom is enjoying her visits with him. Here they are having a walker race down the hall. Lol

My Mother Has been at GABLES for approximately two years and I can’t say enough about the excellent care that she receives from the Nurses, aides ( especially Casey) and support staff. The activity director is excellent and does a great job of keeping the residents engaged. I was worried about putting my mom in a nursing home but I am so glad I chose GABLES care center.

My 84 year-old dad had a severe reaction to anesthesia during hip surgery. Before he transferred to Gables, he had trouble feeding himself, showering, toileting and dressing. He could walk, but was unsteady and off-balance. He needed assistance with basic daily activities. We were told that he would not benefit from additional rehab and that he was the best that he would ever be. We were not willing to accept that, so we transferred to Gables, which came highly recommended by many people. The entire Gables staff went above and beyond to make the most of dad's two months stay with them. Their physical and occupational therapists were very knowledgeable and caring, and they took a personal interest in dad's daily progress. They were very supportive and always quick to praise his efforts. There was a variety of daily activities to stimulate the senses; different singers and performers (including two very entertaining Elvis performances), bingo, movies, ice cream socials. The meals were amazing... the quality, variety and proportions unlike anyplace else. The decor of the hallways and rooms reminded me of a quality hotel, from the grand chandelier, to the piano, to the ice cream parlor. The nurses and nurses aids were always happy to help if we had a problem or question. If you have a loved one that needs rehab after surgery, look no further than Gables. They are all wonderful, caring people that will get them on the road to recovery. Thanks to all of them, my dad is now happily independent and back in his home! I can't say enough about the wonderful people at Gables that made that possible!
