We really liked the staff the first week my family member arrived for her rehab. However, since then, we have noticed her being mistreated. A family member stays on the phone with her constantly and has heard many conversations. One that concerns me the most is when my family member is hungry and accidentally falls asleep and they have stated they won’t feed her, but will sign off on it. We were told we could stay here with her anytime we wanted as she is special needs, and when we arrived we were told we could “get the nurse fired, and we need to ask because that is normally not allowed.”
I have much more that makes me really dissatisfied. I just wish we could be heard.
I only chose 1 star so that I could actually share this review. However, The experience here for my grandfather (who’s 81yrs old)has unfortunately been the absolute worse! To quantify it I’ll just say this, let this facility be the very LAST resort if you’re looking for a rehabilitation program for your loved one. If you have no other choice my advice is to stay on top of the care plan that is administered, ask questions! Cleanliness , bathing, communicating & just the basic care one would expect being elderly is very minimal to none. Brickyard healthcare has ALOT of room for improvement and most certainly can do better!
Horrible experience and residents, the staff are very 50/50. Some are amazing while some are rude, impatient and mistreat residents. On multiple occasions residents have made very uncomfortable advancements and conversations that I do not wish to bring up but could put them in court. This is unacceptable and multiple rooms are filthy. Needs to be re-evaluated as a facility as a whole.
Let my grandma sit in soiled diapers. They don't give showers. Residents have to beg for snacks. The whole place smells like marijuana. Staff is extremely rude, unprofessional and their hygiene is awful.
They do have a very good rehab team.. full time and prn therapist are nice ! Keep up the good job !
