Have numerous issues with this facility. My father is a diabetic, he is constantly fed sugar. His wedding ring is missing and we have not been contacted by a supervisor now for several hours. Asked for a number to call I was shrugged of. I asked to have labs reviewed with us. They are withholding information which I suspect they never ran labs. So now I'm here on Google writing this nasty review to finally get some answers.
I would strongly advise against placing a loved one at Rosecrest Nursing Home. My grandfather was sent there only because he needed required physical therapy after suffering a stroke, and the care he received was unacceptable. They barely provided him with any physical therapy at all, which completely defeated the purpose of him being there. On top of that, their medication management was extremely poor his prescriptions were mishandled on multiple occasions. Even worse, when family members weren’t present, staff would taunt and belittle him instead of treating him with dignity and respect. It is heartbreaking to know that someone you love can be so neglected and mistreated in a facility that is supposed to help them recover. Rosecrest failed him in every way from medical oversight to basic compassion. If you are looking for a nursing home that truly values residents and their families, I would urge you to look elsewhere.
The rose crest motto do the absolute least amount possible to receive that Medicare check, The facility was one of the worst experiences my family and father have ever experienced. During the 3 week stay at the rehabilitation area, My father was over dosed on insulin, he didn’t receive adequate therapy, and they left him there soiled for hours. The expected change time for a senior is 2 hours if they showed up after 4 hours it was a miracle. We found him on the floor one morning from when he had fallen and not one nurse came to check on him. Another nursed mocked him because the family had gone home for the evening with comments that were unprofessional. His neighbor roommate was also over dosed on insulin one night to the point he had to be admitted to the hospital. And they dropped him one time while trying to move him, and another lady fell as well during one of my visits and they just patched her and kept it moving like she didn’t need to really be seen. They just left her in a corner: My father had a rash so bad in between his legs that they did not know how to treat it nor did they care. This facility really needs better management. Overall I blame management because the nurses are overwhelmed with work because the facility is clearly understaffed .
Let me say if you are looking for a place for your loved one for rehab DO NOT GO HERE! Since day one my mom would ring the nurse button and it would take them over an hour to come. She had major knee surgery needed pain meds and those you can’t just wait an hour for. Last night I had enough when I called my mom through out the day she was sick all day since early morning they gave her something she threw it up wasn’t able to keep it down.my mom hates hospitals and told me she wanted to go. I had to call the nurses desk and the nurse said “ she did not need to go” I said if you can’t give her a shot then yes she needs to go and you’ve let her lay there all day in massive pain for no reason at all! So I demanded she call an ambulance to come get her. Long story short for her “ not needing to go” she was given fentanyl for pain in an IV something to stop her from throwing up in an IV And another medication and admitted to the hospital. I have tried calling the person over the nurses and the social worker many times this past week about the care she has received. We are packing her clothes and she will not be going back there. So if you want your loved one in good hands DO NOT TAKE THEM THERE
When I say the rehabilitation in this place is a joke, it's a whole comedy show. My father-in-law is now on his death bed because of this place. We had to send him back to the hospital for severe dehydration, which started his A-Fib, which also led to him having multiple strokes. This man was walking, driving, going grocery shopping before this place touched him. He was also able to get up with assistance to go to the bathroom, and was told to use the diaper that he was put in because the night nurse didn't want to do her job. Please find another facility and do your research. This is not a good place for anyone! I would give negative stars if I could
