Very clean facility and everyone is nice and attentive. Nurses pass medicines on time and the food is the best I've ever ate at a facility. Every staff is well trained and will help with anything you need or need to know. Good showers.

My uncle became a resident at Altamaha Healthcare Center in 2022 after suffering a life-altering stroke. When he was stable enough to be transferred to a skilled nursing home, many facilities would not accept him due to his complex needs. Thankfully, Altamaha welcomed him and gave our family so much peace. My dad (his brother) visits weekly. He always says the staff members are very courteous and seem to genuinely care for the residents. Prior to my uncle's stroke, his primary language was Spanish. Despite the language barrier, his caregivers have found unique ways to communicate with him. Although his stroke was significant, we are grateful that his therapy there has helped him make tiny improvements with his mobility. Since my uncle's time at Altamaha, they have performed some renovations which made it look much more modern and inviting. I personally love to visit the nursing home's Facebook page to look for new posts with photos of my uncle. Our extended family members in Mexico also enjoy the social media posts, as it is comforting to see him participating in social activities. So far, we are pleased with my uncle's care, and we hope he continues to do well at Altamaha Healthcare Center.

I thank Jesus Christ for the excellent Personnel at Altamaha Healthcare Center! My Brother has been receiving care there for less than a year, and I am pleased with the service provided. I don't have to worry about him as much knowing that he is in good hands at the nursing facility. The employees communicate well with me so I can be of assistance and be informed of my brother's care. Special thanks to Belinda and Anita for getting my brother transferred to the hospital when they did recently, as I believe their quick action saved my brother's life! I appreciate the skilled nursing care that my brother receives at the nursing home. Mrs Anita was instrumental in making sure my brother was able to come back to the facility after he had to be admitted to the hospital. I appreciate the Administrator for being so helpful and understanding of my brother's and my situation. I love Ms. Mandy for her kindness and expertise as my brother's Wound Care Nurse. She keeps my brother's spirits up, her interaction with him and me is a priceless asset! Last, but certainly not least, I want to give Special Thanks to Ms. Ashley in the Business Office. I could not have made it without her assistance! She was highly professional and helpful in explaining to my brother and me the laws and requirements necessary for my Brother to receive services at the facility. I had to have her repeat over and over her instructions, as I am a Senior Citizen and don't comprehend things that overwhelm me very well. She was patient and a good communicator with me as I tried to understand instructions. She spoke on a level that I could understand until finally I caught on to what she was explaining. She is my Superstar Employee at Altamaha Healthcare Center, and so valuable to me in my experience of dealing with the nursing home. Everyone is top notch at their job, and I am praying for blessings and miracles to come into their lives as they serve. I can't thank you enough at Altamaha Healthcare Center, Jesup, GA for your professionalism, personal kindness, and support for my Brother and me!

There are many wonderful angels that work at Altamaha,,, Just to list a few… Kimberly is the activities director and she is always keeping the residence actively involved with fun events! Savannah is very patient and kind,, Anita Michaels is the head nurse and is always taking care of the residence Wendy goes above and beyond to make sure all the residents are happy!! We appreciate them and many more for their compassion and big hearts❤️

My sister who suffered a massive stroke this past August was sent to a skilled Nursing Facility in Savannah for intensive physical therapy. We had the worst experience which resulted in my sister being bruised at all times and fell 3 times in one month which resulted in ER visits for stitches. The 3rd Fall and resulting ER visit was the last straw and we began looking for another facility. Luckily, Memorial Hospital recommened Altamaha in Jesup to place her and we are so happy with that decision. When my sisters and I visit we see how happy and friendly the staff is and always seems to enjoy being at their jobs. This is the exact opposite from what we saw at the Savannah facility. Altamaha is an hour's drive from where we live but it is well worth the drive because we have peace of mind and feel very confident that my sister is at the best place possible. My sister seems so content and never has bruises. I thank God we were led to Altamaha Healthcare. They are truly an answer to prayer.
