HOPEFULLY THIS ISN'T YOUR ONLY OPTION!!!! If I could give ZERO stars, I would. As a nurse myself, I was appalled. First, let's discuss the nursing staff. Management, none to speak of and they conver one another's hind ends when called out. The CNA's are few and far between on the compassion scale! There's also a staffing issue. The nurses station is nothing more than a place to congregate and gossip or sit on their phones on Facebook or tiktok. If you think hipaa rules are followed, think again! My dad was not taken to any therapies in the way the doctor ordered them, and was also done half way! His clothing, cell phone, and hearing aids disappearing on a regular basis! I went to visit to find him in a wheelchair by the nurses station, in WOMEN'S CAPRI PANTS, uncovered and cold, slumped over, and no one paying attention to him or talking to him at all. This includes the hallways lined with other residents calling out for help or smelling of BM or urine. When approached with the issues, (as I was LIVID) Sam and a nurse tried to blame others. NOT ACCEPTABLE! The food, oh good Lord... If I could imagine jailhouse food, I'd imagine they're quite similar. Dad was moved 2x, his rolling walker he paid cash for, was "loaned" to another resident, he was forever in a dirty adult incontinence diaper, hardly ever had fresh water, or clean clothing on, and overall declined RAPIDLY!! He is now on Hospice and bed bound in our home. Had the proper physician ordered therapies been met, 'perhaps' he could still stand or minimally, pivot himself to assist in transfers. No pointing of fingers as to say that he'd NEVER end up in this condition; but I truly believe that minimal care was given. I witnessed this with my own eyes. As a previous administrator of a skilled facility, it was nauseating. His cell phone was replaced, but his $699 hearing aids were 'lost in laundry' or 'another resident grabbed them'. Again, unacceptable. The clique' at the nurses station having cackling sessions and poking fun at their residents was a disgusting display as to WHY NOT TO BE IN THE MEDICAL FIELD!! PERIOD!! Doing at-home care is tremendously taxing. But so is having to worry constantly about your loved one when they're supposed to be receiving the best care possible in your absence. The building is in poor condition as well and needs a complete overhaul. I'm actually shocked that the State hasn't been out due to blatant hazards. Unimpressed with everyone there except the social worker and activities person. My Dad called as often as he could before his cell phone mysteriously took a walk, asking regularly to "get him out of there". This man is and was 100% lucid and not at all a liar or exaggerator. That alone should tell future resident families what they have the right to know. Our experience was terrible and it was disheartening to say the least. He was at another facility for a short time after this (while lining up an at home care aide through and getting insurance stuff squared away) and they were exceptional in comparison. Do your homework and advocate for your loved one or someone else's. Your voice matters.

This place is a J O K E! I went and got my mom out of this place after 19 hours they hadn’t given her ANY meds, she is a fall risk and her oxygen would not reach to the bathroom and surprise… NO ONE helped her to the bathroom not one time but two!!!! The second time she called family for help at 3 am and then the CNA got hateful with my mom acting as though it was her fault because the staff wasn’t doing their jobs!!! Then Saturday morning the staff wanted to get attitude with me because I wanted an explanation of what was going on. The one who got attitude was an amputee. I wasn’t going to write a review but the lovely director asked us not to leave a bad review. Instead of worrying about the state of my mother. If I Had an attorney I’d love suing for negligence and elderly abuse. This place is a cash cow not a rehab/nursing home. It sickens me and saddens me knowing people are in this situation and can’t speak for themselves.
