My mother-in-law was placed here for rehab and we are considering leaving her there. She came to Transitional because her current facility kept her drugged up and she fell. At Transitional they understand the difficulties with an Alzheimer’s patient and work with her when she becomes agitated. Very much unlike the other facility. I will update review if we leave her there. The only reason I’m doing 4 stars is because she is just in rehab, not a full time resident!

My father was at this facility for almost 3 weeks. The reason we chose it was because he is fall risk and they had a low fall ratio.09 He fell SEVEN times while he was there. I told my sister we needed to get him out of there before they killed him. Other than 2 nurses that were wonderful the care was atrocious. If we rang for a nurse sometimes we had to wait up to 20 minutes before a nurse would come. Or we would go in search of one. He fell so many times, we requested them to move him closer to the nurses station. He was supposed to get 3 meals and 2 snacks day. Never saw them bring a snack. Finally one of the residents told us they put the snacks at the nurses station. They are supposed to give them out. Wonder where they ended up? When he first got there he could not feed himself. They would put his meals on a tray and if he didn't eat the tray would be picked up. It took us a few days to realize he was literally starving!! Thank goodness in the meantime we would bring him something he liked from time to time. The therapists were great, however I believe my Dad suffered a great deal more than he had to under the"care" at this facility. He was very confused and non verble,so he could not complain. Don't take your love one to this place!!!

They have the most caring staff and administrator. Everyone there was so helpful and they treated my grandmother so lovingly. Every day I came in I was greeted with a caregiver that gave me an update of her day and they were always concerned about how I was too. The administrator also walks the halls checking on every patient personally. I always had a good feeling when I would leave in the evening because I knew my grandmother was being taken care of and I didn’t have to worry.

If you love your family members and/or loved ones do not accept an assignment here at Transitional Healthcare Services of Kannapolis. My sister Dr. Shelley Holloway was a resident here until her untimely death. She was treated so poorly by the nursing staff. She suffered from long standing wounds and was even denied her pain medicine by one of their nurses. I came to visit her and her room was filthy. Her bedside table needed cleaning off from days worth of food trays, cups and used utensils. While I was there I brought her a home cooked meal as she was not happy with the dining choices there and was told by NURSING staff that they could not warm up her food in their microwave due to cross contamination. What a disgrace! DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE !!!

Title: Disappointing Experience at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis Review: My experience at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I stepped foot in the facility, it was evident that there were significant issues with staffing. The lack of personnel meant that residents were left waiting for extended periods, and basic needs were often neglected. Furthermore, the quality of care provided was subpar. There seemed to be a disconnect between the staff and the residents, with little effort made to foster a compassionate and supportive environment. Medical attention was sporadic, and it felt as though the staff were stretched thin, unable to provide adequate attention to each individual. Communication was another major issue. Requests for updates on a loved one's condition were frequently met with vague responses or outright dismissal. It was incredibly frustrating to feel ignored and uninformed about the well-being of a family member. Overall, my experience at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis was deeply disappointing. The facility's shortcomings in staffing, care quality, and communication severely impacted the level of service provided. I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking compassionate and reliable care for their loved ones.
