My time at Wellington has been amazing to say the least. The staff is always welcoming especially the aides and the nurses. Jay is a exceptional wound care nurse. Vee and Ricky always comes to check on me every morning. Abil is so sweet and kind. Lena always greets me with a smile, and KeeKee has a great heart and keeps me laughing. I will miss them all and I wish them all the best.
No rehabilitation facility is perfect but there are many hard working nurses and CNAs here that really care about the patients. My mom was able to adjust over time and make friends with many of the staff. Our issues occur most often with the overnight shifts but the morning staff is the best.
My father went there for rehab. I was told that they would be doing physical therapy with him every day. They lied 🤥!!! They did physical therapy with him maybe once or twice a week and that was that. Some of the nurses there are very good and some have really bad attitudes towards the patients and visitors. My father told me that one of his nurses was very mean towards him because she had to do her job as in changing him. They only put clothes on when asked. If you don’t ask they will leave you in night clothes all day long. I went to go see my father and the nurse left him on his side with his pants pulled down while she walked off to go get the things she needed to change him. I waited in the hallway for 5 to 6 minutes before she came back to finish up her job. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!!!!
Wellington Rehabilitation facility did not meet our expectations for care. My father was supposed to receive rehabilitation services, but there was no evidence of any therapy during his stay—he remained in bed all day. Despite multiple requests, I never received a treatment plan. Admission paperwork was delayed for nearly two weeks, and communication was inconsistent. When he was discharged, he was noticeably weaker, and crucial medications were forgotten. Attempts to speak with an occupational or physical therapist were unsuccessful, and the treatment team meeting was either canceled or poorly organized, with key members missing. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this facility.
My aunt has been in this facility for several months now. This place is roach infested and the caregivers are totally aware. The nursing staff are "ok", I'm sure there are better at other skilled nursing facilities. I'm trying to relocate my aunt to a better and cleaner facility but the head of facilities at Wellington is dragging her feet not completing the appropriate documents to make this happen. I feel like the moment she discovered how much my aunt has in the bank, she is trying to milk my aunt for as much money as she can by delaying and stalling the paperwork. Please before you decide on this place, do you due diligence and look elsewhere
