Visit and old friend today 10/31/25 in hospice. The staff I encountered were very pleasant and kind. I was there for about 2 hours and multiple staff members came in and checked on Thora and made sure she was comfortable and she had everything she needed. The facility was decorated for Halloween and many resident were enjoying the birds and conversation in the community area.
My brother was at Island Home Park Health from for five months after having broken both hips. I was so very pleased with the facility and, more importantly, the staff. From the business office, his social worker, the nursing care and rehab team, I can't begin to express what a relief it was for him to be in such good hands from beginning to end. With this having been a new experience for me, they guided me the whole time and answered questions I might have for the duration of his stay.
My mom was only there for 2 days, she came in from the hospital on hospice and everyone from admitting to nurses to CNAs to the kitchen crew were awesome. They took such great care of my mom and made sure that I was comfortable, as well. I am so glad that Island Home had an opening on such short notice. I will forever be grateful for their kindness, love and hospitality.
No supplies for daughters fishula, not giving her pain medications as needed. She is a cancer patient. Not monitoring her blood pressure and allowing it to drop to low. Doctor not communicating as requested.
My mother was at Island Home Health & Rehab and the care she received was exceptional. It was a difficult decision for me to make when the time came and I realized that she needed an extra level of care, but wow am I happy we choose Island Home. She was treated with kindness and respect the entire time of her stay. The staff were wonderful to my mother. The facility is so clean and it made me feel good that she was so comfortable there. The nurses and CNA's took care of all her needs, and treated her like family. I highly recommend Island Home.
