SERENE MANOR MEDICAL CTR.

This place is a joke and not in a funny way. My cousin was put there by APS cause her friend(of over 20 yrs) that she was paying to stay with made up stories to put her away without family Consent. These people claim they had no family information which was a lie and was on her administration intake. They say she was there for safety and dementia. They kept the clothes I paid for and had delivered there and they signed for. They didn't tell me her reason of being there, they wouldn't tell me her treatment plan and I was her sarugote. They would let her shower alone. They let a woman fall and broke her hip and left her in her bed over 24hours before calling ems. They did not realize how well my cousin actually was and treated her like she was in jail. They wouldn't let her brother to even visit or give her things until 5 days later. They have poor accounting and they told one woman in there to sign over her house to sell. These people are not professional at all. They lie about what they do and offer. After I took my cousin out..they say their so called doctor retired and they hired new staff members. I have emails to prove non compliance on their half. Don't go there.

We have a relative there who we were trying to get moved closer to home due to the poor conditions of this facility. She was moved here from a mental health facility. Serene Manor went so far as to revoke a power of attorney of a mentally ill person the day of the request to keep them from going to another place. Shady business practices, multiple falls reported, urine odor so bad it is hard to breathe, allows vaping inside the facility, feet stick to the floor when you walk in the rooms, and no one wants to answer the phone. Do not let your loved ones go here, mine will be moved asap.

Would never recommend or have a loved one here ever again. They did not take good care of my grandmother, she had lost so much weight and we were not notified. She had brusises on her that were not explained. The food that was given was disgusting. When she had passed away, her daughter had to come down from out of state and they would not get my grandmother's belongings together for us to pick up. It took DAYS to get her things. They NEVER answer the phone and are very inconsiderate towards people.

Keep up what ever you guys are doing for an historical building is very well kept up from the past two months I met the new supervisor I believe was Amanda Lopez and seems she has really took pride in her job and you made good choice keep up the good work

Maybe im a disgruntled ex employee but this but that's not why I'm choosing to post the truth about this place what I witnessed first hand. The place is not the greatest facility and the hoodbooger ( very ghetto) employeeswont name any names and I have several to name. they hire for cna/ help is a joke and housekeeping.. Cna/ help They curse at residents directly talk down to them im witnessed on several occasions they reprimanded patients like children they leave residents in their beds with feces and urine. Clothes or body they leave them on maybe until next shift or several hours or even a day or two Ive noticed that more than once when employed there. They leave residents in beds totally naked they leave residents in dirty clothes all day especially if the resident has no family that visits on a regular the residents will have dirty clothes on for two days in a row. They allow residents to chew chewing tobacco with causes tons and gnats and tiny flies in resident rooms which affects other residents roommates. The person over housekeeping is a big dummy calls his employees retards but when u point a finger u gave two pointing back. in my opinion he's not the most organized person at all what so ever to be in a boss position but that serene manor. serene manor is very questionable and I would advise any one who is looking into placing a family member or lived one there to think twice and make unannounced visits you'll be surprised would be nice if the health dept which is 10 steps away would make an unexpected visit or even the locals news. Just show up and surprise the facility. Like on weekends when they medicate all the residents never seen so many residents sleeping they don't get them outta bed or give them stimulation on a daily. Stimulate their minds they let them sit in beds lay in beds and they smell. Just being honest. Think twice about this facility.
