WILLOW BROOK REHABILITATION AND HEALTHCARE CENTER

My grandmother was there for rehab and the therapy department was outstanding. They got her strong enough so I could take her home for good on Thanksgiving. The nursing staff was so kind as well as the admission department, social worker and the administrator. This is also the only place I know of that has a dedicated shower team. They went above and beyond to make my grandmother clean, comfortable and feeling a little like her self again. What a great team you have. They truly put the patient first.

My review must of been taken down by them, AGAIN !! I WILL KEEP POSTING OVER AND OVER AND OVER. for the record , we contacted the department of health allentown and requested a investigation, the lady i talked to said they couldnt find any wrong doing..HOWEVER one month later they changed their name to willowbrook. OH LOOK REPORT DATED 04/15/2022 department of health 59 pages of violations some of the violations were BEFORE & AFTER mommy was dead...hmmmm, guess they did in fact investigate you, hence the name change ...RIP MOMMY ! (they were cited for over use of psychotropic drugs by the state when they were kutztown manor) i stood up and questioned them about how she was treated , falls from going to the bathroom alone cause she got tired of waiting for someone to assist her. before covid i visited and she rang the nurse cause she had to pee, we waited and waited, finally i went and asked someone to come to her room, mom asked me to go along in with her and the nurse, mother went for 5 minutes straight peeing that day, this is when we started questioning things as far as her care . but explain to me so i an understand why, ( we tried to have her moved to 2 different nursing homes on 2 differnet occasions both times were blocked by them) covid 19 they blocked us from seeing her when they required appointments to be made for visits, every time we were scheduled to visit they called about a hour before to cancel saying she had possible covid exposure by a doctor that worked there. SO we went to her window to see her, unannounced, she always appeared groggy and out of sorts. Then they made some excuse to have her moved to a room with NO access to the window to see her. 2017 to 2021 mother was a patient there, round the clock 24/7 rushed to the hospital 09/09/2021 for possible stroke, hospital said she didnt have a stroke, she needed 2 pints of blood, she had a bedsore on the small of her back, she had distressed breathing, the right side of her face was weird and she couldnt hardly talk, mother was dead 5 days later from sepsis. photos of the progression of her life there

Willow Brook is such a great place and really goes above what most nursing homes do. The staff are kind and caring, the place is clean and comfortable, and residents are treated with real respect. It’s easily one of the nicest nursing homes around.

My husband and I were so impressed today as we visited a dear friend on hospice care. Willow Brook is so welcoming and friendly. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and respectful.

Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is such a caring and welcoming place. The staff truly go above and beyond for their residents. Highly recommend for your loved ones!
