I recently visited a friend at Lifecare Center of the North Shore and was impressed by what I experienced each time I visited her. As I entered the building, a friendly receptionist was available to assist me. I immediately noticed a clean, bright, and happy environment. When I reached the floor, my friend was on, I observed the staff busy attending to their residents with joy, kindness, and dignity. A gift we all need, especially as we age. This same staff was polite and helpful to me when I needed assistance for my friend. One time I had to look for her in PT, which I couldn’t find. I asked a worker who was walking towards me. Barbara not only showed me where the room was but walked with me. When my friend wasn’t there Barbara told me she wouldn’t leave me until we found her. She cheerfully gave me the support I needed and of course we found my friend. Cassarra the director of activities is cheerful, finds activities that help the residents, smiles a lot, and truly cares about them. The personal touch at life care center is a quality to be cherished.p

My mother was brought to LifeCare back in Easter of 2021 .She started out on the 4 th floor ,she would ask the staff how long she had been there ?They would tell her they didn't know then would she would ask how long she will be there ?They would say they didn't know that either ? I know they did because it is in their records of everything from entry to meds to their care plan . Every time we would go and see her the person at the front desk was nice but not the staff on the patients floor . One time I was asked who I was and when I said my mother's daughter I was told no you aren't ,I had to show my ID and birth certificate to proof it . They would be rude when I asked them anything and gave attitude when I would call on the phone . My mother was moved down to the second floor and that wasn't any better . I found out tonight that they would leave her unchanged for hours that my mother said she got a UTI and a bladder infection a few times and that they would change her only after complaints . My mother would occasionally would want to get out of bed to sit in the wheelchair to go see other people or do some activity . They knew she would she was known to fall and one day she feel out of the wheelchair and ended having a huge black eye on her right side of her face . The nurses did nothing about it and just treated it as if it was no big deal . If asked about what happened ,she was told to say "she just had an accident ". She would try and bathe herself because she said they hardly did even though she had her own body wash . She said she would be in the same clothes for a few days .If you are thinking of bringing a loved one here : DON'T you will think everything is okay and they act like it is ,but it isn't .

Do not place your loved ones here. Always short staffed, aside a few good nurses and selective cnas most of the staff are horrible people who do not care for the patients. They only care about a paycheck. Management only cares for the patients to go home but when they do there responses are it's not our responsibility from now on. Your on your own. Very unprofessional and will not place anyone I know back into this place again. Place has 3 floors over 100 patients and at least 30 staff members working for all 100 not good...

Life Care is phenomenal! Not only do the people working here make you feel like family but being able to get to know the residents and share with them in fun times like spa day for ladies or even a fun day just having ice cream with them in the summer just shows how much the people care! Kayleigh who is amazing, always so friendly and supportive and always looking for ways to have fun with the residents is incredible. She always goes the extra mile and for that reason alone says so much about the care and efforts that get put into Life scare center on a daily basis.
