If I could rate a negative star, I would. This place is a true hell hole. I cannot believe it has any current positive reviews. Staff is not attentive- some even just rude. If you turn on call light for assistance, it can take anywhere from 45 minutes to hours before anyone comes. I literally laid in my own puke for over 45 minutes one day. In regards to the rehab PT/OT, Wellstar North Fulton Hospital spent much more quality time per day with me. I only stayed a week, but that amount of time totally broke my mental health and spirit. And the food was beyond awful - had to just resort to daily dry cereal and PBJ sandwiches. I would never go back to this place (no matter what happens to me), and I would never allow a loved one to go there. Now I know why my surgeon recommended just going home if my insurance didn’t approve the acute rehab at hospital (which it didn’t). Unfortunately I didn’t have a family member available to help me go home until I left East Cobb.

I’d never been in this facility before, so I was anxious to see what it was like. I really liked the secure process for checking in. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic, but I found our patient’s room to be pleasant with a nice view. The rooms are small and it would have been nicer if she’d had a single room. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very impressed the very first time I entered. Staff was warm and professional. It “felt” like a clean environment, something very important to my husband (the patient) and myself. As a registered nurse, I expected to be critical of my husband’s care/caregivers. Although there is a chronic shortage in the healthcare field, this never impacted his care. This experience made me want to work here. I start in 2 weeks.

Based on the previous reviews I’ve read, I’m wondering if they were paid reviews, or, if the treatment of my mother is personal? The staff here was not kind or efficient while my mom has been in the facility. They leave her on the bed pan for hours at a time to the point where she says her skin feels like it’s being cut. They outright ignore her dietary needs (needs that they are fully aware before her admission of because there’s a sheet on her food tray each day detailing those needs). Bladder control accidents are not cleaned up properly and the patient is not cleaned up immediately. Leaving them to sit in their own waste for hours. My mother has asked for a diaper rash cream to avoid irritation. And of course, the bladder accident are only caused because when the patient pushes the nurse call button, the nurse will not respond for several hours, if at all. The staff is aware that she can’t get out of bed at all, but they will position her TV, phone, and call button out of her reach. I will never trust another family member in the care of this facility. Update: once my mother became mobile, she discovered the flooring in her shares bathroom was beginning to lift up causing a trip hazard (Pictures attached). It took them 5 days after I reported the issue myself to her attendant to address the issue. They resolved the issue by moving my mother into another room. This was only after I was contacted by them for another issue, at which point they told me they didn’t know about the lifted flooring (the attendant never reported the issue). In the new room, the roommate developed COVID at that point, my mother was upset beyond reasoning and begged to be released. At that point I contacted the facility and she was released before treatment was complete. A representative from the facility did contact me regarding this review before the update and informed me that the reviews are not paid for. A few weeks have passed since she was released and she is traumatized by the care/treatment she received and starts to tear up every time she talks about her stay at East Cobb.

Visited my cousin after her triple bypass surgery. The facility was clean, neat and staff I met were awesome. I have major back problems and difficulty walking. A staff member asked if I was okay and told me to wait for her to get a wheelchair to help me get back to the lobby. Very caring!!
