my mom had such a wonderful experience the first time she had to go to rehab at Cedar View that when she had to do a another rehabilitation term she requested to go back to Cedar View. She has been treated with kindness and respect. She has not one negative thing to say about the facility or the staff that has been taking care of her. im grateful to everyone in Cedar View for making her feel very comfortable and safe.

Beyond terrible! (Except for PT people) One night they gave him someone else's medication. Mice running around. Staff threw away clothes. Zero communication or follow through on any and all concerns brought up. Didn't return phone calls. Questions met with blank stares then directing you to someone else who also doesn't know anything. Bathroom shared with 4 men, no vent fan and door opens right at head of bed. Constant stench and flushing all night long. Room shared with Parkinsons patient and he had to furniture surf around the bed to get to bathroom and fell often. Showers limited to 2x/week even for rehab patients. Dinner was cold sandwiches and meager portions designed for the nursing home population, no adjustments made for a full-sized man. Lunches either over or undercooked, excessive salt and sugar not appropriate for post cardiac surgery diet. Could feel the bars through the bed. Very uncomfortable chair and there was no place for it because of bathroom access. When ready to be released to VNA home care, they forced him to stay 3 extra days & nights to milk the insurance. And then they have the audacity to ask for a 5-star review...

I don’t typically write bad reviews but I wanted folks who are making a difficult choice for a loved one to be informed. I would NOT recommend going to this facility at all. My husband recently needed post acute care due to a fall, and he was transferred to Cedar View. Thankfully, we were able to transfer him elsewhere after just 2 days. While the PT & OT at Cedar View were fine, the facility itself was terrible. There was no real separation between nursing home patients and rehab patients, the facility smelled/burned my eyes, and the food was both awful and unhealthy, not to mention that they never brought what my husband had selected. Due to adjoining rooms, 4 patients had to share a bathroom which was also unpleasant. Most of the staff was mediocre at best when it came to patient care (except for OT & PT), giving minimal attention to patients who sat for hours in their beds. Also, most of them couldn’t be understood as English seemed to be a 2nd language. Overall, this does not deserve the rating that I initially saw, and I have to think it was not done appropriately.

My uncle is here for PT and OT for a hip surgery; only on day two and already staff seem very attentive to him and his roommate. Madella was a wonderful nurse who checked us in on Friday and Sam who did his therapy assessment was very helpful and was genuinely concerned about my uncle being successful here!

My mother, Lorraine, was discharged from Cedar View in Methuen today. She had a sprained ankle from a minor fall and she was in rehab for just under 3 weeks. This is the first time (in a long time) that I actually had no worries about her being in rehab. My mother was very well taken care of by everyone on the staff! From the moment you walk into the door, you are warmly welcomed with a smile. We are impressed by how accommodating, friendly, and professional everyone is at Cedar View. The nurses and aides are wonderful and are very attentive and quick to get to their patients . My mom never had to wait for anything. The rehab facility and PT staff are exceptional. Also, my mom raved about the food each and every day. We have never experienced such a well organized discharge. When I arrived at noon time to pick up my mother, her meds and care instructions were all packaged up ahead of time. We were out the door and in the car in less than 10 minutes. My mother and I would like to thank everyone at Cedar View for being the best around! We highly recommend Cedar View to anybody who is in need of rehab.
