Always reach out to the Administrator of the building if you or your loved one is unhappy. Keeping in mind, they would much rather be home. Families feel terrible they can’t do it - stay positive, listen to their concerns and report it - so it can be addressed. Attention and love is primarily the key to a successful stay. Holidays are the toughest times.
Brought my Aunt to this facility not realizing that she would become like family to them in the end. I want to take this opportunity to thank the staff members at Pleasant View for taking care of my Aunt. While visiting her, I got the chance to watch the staff interact with each other and the residents and it was truly beautiful. Everyone was so helpful and the facility looked great and the customer service was more than I expected from “little ole Metter”. From the admissions process to the discharge process, I was WELL PLEASED!
If I could clone this place and move them closer, it would be great! Pleasantview took a chance on my dad and admitted him during the height of covid. This is the only place that would. We were really nervous about the placement because it is over 3 hours from home. We have always been very handson with dad and it was very nerve wrecking for him to be that far away. The team at Pleasantview has been like family. He loved his caregivers and still asks about them, I can tell they love him too. The facility is an older building and doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but the love and care provided inside is unmatched. Sometimes you cant look at the outer, but look at the happiness and contentment of the residents. I am eternally grateful for this place. They were a godsend during our time of need.
After a long battle with dementia I had to sadly place my mom in a facility which was a VERY hard decision to make concerning the horror stories that you hear regarding nursing homes. While my moms stay in the hospital I met with someone from the admissions department with Pleasantview, she really helped me to understand how the process worked and what goes on in a nursing home from day to day. Now once we arrived at the facility I was so emotional, felt completely helpless and overwhelmed. The administrator at that time along with a few CNAs came into my moms room to meet us.Mrs. Helen was very upfront and informative regarding the possibilities that could and most likely would happen to my mom just because of her disease and assured me that she would given the best care possible…that really meant a lot to me because out of all of the doctors, NO ONE had prepared me for what was to come. The patient care givers and administrative staff here have taken such good care of my mom which is something that I could not do! There hasn’t been a day or time that my questions have gone unanswered, I am able to visit my mom anytime day or night and I have personal contact with Mrs.Tyne and Mrs.Robbin who have never let me down. If they don’t know the answers right then they always find out for me. Anyone that’s never been in a nursing home facility like myself has absolutely no idea just what it takes to do the job they do and it takes a special person to do just that! Pleasant view has become part of my family for sure and I wouldn’t trust anyone else/place with the care of my mom. Thank you guys for all that you do! Forever greatful, Beverly Sapp Mrs. Faye’s daughter 😁
My Sister, Marcia was at Pleasantview Nursing Home for six years with Dementia. She received wonderful, loving care provided by a great staff. We went through Covid and experienced all the challenges that put on the staff and patients. They did a great job doing a very difficult job with no recent precident to go by. Everyone, from the kitchen staff to the CNAs, Nurses and Social Workers were very compassionate and did a great job serving a challenging community. I feel very grateful for the care she received. I always tell people Marcia had a soft landing at Pleasantview Nursing home.
