LOCUST GROVE RETIREMENT VILLAGE

I had an elderly friend that loved coming to Locust Grove for rehab (in rehab 3 times over several years). Because her and her family loved it so much, I wanted my aunt to come here for rehab. Locust Grove held up to the expectations my friend but in place. The rehab team is AMAZING! They are very kind and sweet and care about their residents. The lovely lady in activates (I think her name is Chassidy) is a God send. She takes time out of her busy day to help each and every resident. The rest of the office staff was just as great. Im glad I chose this rehab center for my aunt, she is enjoying her stay as well! Something else that is very noticeable, the facility does not have the typical "nursing home" smell. Very clean facility. When I'm there visiting my aunt, there are several housekeeping staff cleaning. Great job team!!! I will recommend to others!

A beautiful campus nestled on a hill just off Rt 35 in Mifflin, on the west side of the Juniata River. This is a diamond off the beaten path – that offers nursing care retirement community with 14 cottages available for independent living as well as 104 skilled and rehab bed. It is a one level building with 4 wings for residency. The rooms are generously sized. There are ample outdoor spaces to be enjoyed including a screened in porch, covered pavilion and gazebos. The building offers a unique quietness. It is maintained and very clean (The floors actually shine)! A welcoming village – with dedicated, tenured staff in all departments (quite a few average 15 years plus with many working their entire careers caring for Locust Grove residents through the years. Exciting opportunities that they are now offering CNA training classes. Staff is very responsive to care requests. Therapy addresses the rehabilitation needs of residents for both short term and skilled careplans. Residents have plenty of activities to engage the residents. Several dining options are offered with homestyle cooked meals. Nice to find a friendly, caring, compassionate community that makes sure their residents enjoy their home with 24/7 skilled and caring staff.

Whether you need short-term rehabilitation or long term care this facility exceeds expectations. The facility is clean and well maintained, creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents and their families. The therapy team is exceptional and truly care about each resident’s recovery and wellbeing and the activities department offers a wide variety of fun and engaging activities to keep residents active and social. Above all, the entire staff from clinical to administrative is compassionate, caring and dedicated.

I can’t thank this nursing home enough for the amazing care they give. Every staff member is so kind, patient, and truly treats the residents like family. The place is always clean, warm, and welcoming. Knowing your loved one is surrounded by such genuine, caring people gives me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend this wonderful home! 💖

Beautiful facility nestled in the countryside. Friendly and caring staff and administration team. I would consider this facility for your Short Term Rehab or Long Term Stay. There is an awesome Rehabilitation program with dedicated staff to get you back on your feet and home. If you are looking for Exceptional Outcomes this is the place to be!
