MEADOWVIEW HEALTH & REHAB CENTER

My MIL was admitted to Meadowview Rehab Center a few months ago. She has the early stages of alzheimers and was catatonic, unable to walk & depressed. A few months later! she is walking, laughing and dancing just a bit don't get me wrong, BUT she is not in a wheel chair and can dress herself. The staff is amazing (physical therapy & her nurses and CNA's). They deserve all the world of praise and admiration. My MIL is the happiest she has been in a very long time. They keep her safe and happy. She is feed her real good food. As a family member who has been dealing with her medical down fall - I can say the nursing home staff go beyond to make her feel at home. My MIL was telling the CNA she needed to go home and check on her house. Then I over heard the CNA calmly and nurturing tell her she was was home in her own apartment. That was too cute. My MIL settled down and was happy that she was home. For anyone who is going to begin the process to Medicaid; I assure you you ARE in the best hands, they literally walk you through the process and help you along. They recently had a Thanksgiving dinner for the resident. They were all having the best time with the the performers who sang for them encouraged them to dance and have fun. How amazing to help them remember what is was to have fun. I highly recommend the Meadowview Rehab Center.

When it gave me stars to review on one place it would only let me put 4-1/2 stars. I would give it 10 if I could. I could not find a solution to what seemed wrong with my much younger sister. I worried and tried for almost a year. She is not bedridden but has had cancer and chemo. You do have to go through different things, but the results are worth it. She told me once she had not eaten in two days. She had food. It dawned on me she had forgot to eat. She was 88 pounds. She has gained at least 20 pounds. She enjoys three meals a day and fellowship, even if they do not realize it, with others. Sometimes God does visit Angels among us. I feel I have found them at Meadowview. Is she happy? Most times, but sometimes she thinks she is in New Orleans. Also, she thinks she is everyone's supervisor. She is probably three miles from my apartment. I'm there often. They call me with any lab work to be drawn or PET scan to visit. I don't think God could have put her in a better place here on Earth.

I have been helping a family member get into assisted living at this facility. While other aspects of this process have been trying (social workers, hospitals, banks, etc), Meadowview Health itself has been wonderful to work with. They have been very patient with me, as well as with the delays caused by other agencies. One of the staff, Nivea, has been an absolute joy to work with (she even has made me laugh a few times when the situation went beyond my control and I felt like crying). Thank you for the excellent customer service, and I definitely recommend this business.

Nivea, the admissions director, is an angel. She helped me for weeks to be able to admit my sister and brother in law to Meadowview where they can get the care they need. She facilitated everything. Guided me through every step and process. She is my angel.

My experience here was good. The staff was friendly and therapy was great. If I ever need to return this is the place I will come to.
