I can hardly walk without my left leg buckling causing me to fall and unable to get off the ground, and don’t have use of my right arm or hand and am being discharged 3 weeks after admission with having done hardly anything helpful for my injured leg or arm because the therapist told me they don’t know how to rehabilitate hand injuries. I’m now being released into the streets fully homeless, and nothing has improved since my admission, the lady in charge of discharges (name might be Dawn, not sure) has 0 care about my situation because “I’m not old” and “walk just fine.” I’m homeless without a car and she said I can finish my therapy somewhere else, but I can hardly even walk and she told me it doesn’t matter because I’m 24 years old so I don’t get to receive long term “care.” She thinks because I’m young that releasing me to the streets with a disabled leg and arm and hand is fully acceptable. I’m being setup for catastrophic failure before I even leave. If I fall (which I likely will) I’m at risk to hit my head or injure myself further, Brickyard is not concerned about if you’re actually getting better or not, they want your money and cut as many corners as they can to save their money. The rooms and food is also garbage, you live with a (stranger) roommate , and my TV has been broke my entire stay. Dr. Baharmi isn’t fit to be a doctor. He called me stubborn and delusional the first day I met him and yelled at me to listen to all of his demands for me while pointing his finger at my face, he’s a strange man and talks fast and leaves the room just as quick, before yelling your entire medical and mental health history into a microphone, while standing in the hallway, so ANYONE can hear very private information, definitely sounds like a HIPPA violation but at this point I’m more worried about the upcoming physical dangers I’ll be risking leaving here in a few days. I have not seen any growth yet and brickyard is comfortable sending me off into the streets barely able to walk! if you need physical therapy or a place to send your loved one to get care, don’t send them here unless you want them to be in subpar conditions with subpar care and nauseating food which looks and smells horrid. Nurses are very nice tho, they’re the only ones that deserve praise, and a lot of praise at that! the rest of this place shouldn’t be in business with how lazy and careless it all is, however.
