HAMILTON GROVE

Do your research. I will also being filing a complaint with the state. My mom was discharged today from there. My mom has stage 4 liver cancer and because of that she is very confused about everything. She can not care for herself. All the nurses that worked with my mom know that and agree that her living on her own would be the worst idea and likely would kill her. However Hamilton Grove discharged her. Never once spoke with the POA. Never included any family in the discharge plan. What paperwork i did find says she can go back to her apartment which is absolutely false. She has many stairs in her apartment and seeing her there would again likely kill her. We the family were assured by the Director of Nursing that we would have plenty of notice. We got none so my mom is with me and we know absolutely nothing about what is scheduled, dont know if they set up any after care. The discharge document says she is going home to her apartment and that Never was going to happen. The director of Nursing is honestly at fault and does such a terrible job. All she did was fed us excuses after excuses. I will honestly not let this go because if this is the way they do people then they are killing our loved ones. Look elsewhere. Look at the other reviews. As long as that director of nursing is there, dont go there.

I have nothing but great things to say about Hamilton Grove. The staff are very caring, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. My grandma gets the best care here. She loves it! She has made friends here and participates in many activities. My grandmother is very happy here and is vent content living at Hamilton Grove.

We had my mother in law in this facility for around a month for rehab. The discharge process was so unorganized! Nobody from the facility talked to the family. Never spoke to the POA, who she was going to live with, no one called in prescriptions, they didn’t have her clothes gathered from the laundry service so of course we didn’t get them all back. They went over paperwork with her even after knowing that she has confusion. The whole process was lacking communication and a safe discharge.

My good friend stayed her 3 weeks. THIS PLACE IS MORE A NURSING HOME THEN REHAB. Took 8 days and 3 in peraon visits to get a phone. All rooms should have a phone. She had to keep her toothbrush in her drawer. Was not allowed to keep on counter. Nursing staff and aids were very nice and helpful. The rehab patients were mixed in with the people living there The permanent people would wander in her room. Rehab people were very nice but seemed slow to move her forward. We Lost a few things she took with her. That happens.Took the admission a long time to get paperwork to get her moved. The lady was very of put off by having to help us. I went in and offered to take the paperwork when she finally faxed what was needed. Sad that the same insurance will get you two totally different experiences. Where she is at now is a private room showers twice a week. My friend can keep her toothbrush on her counter. Nightstand has a locked drawer with a key. Pictures on the wall and curtins. Rehab people are all on one wing. Dining room serves amazing food. Not a plate with a lid. Not trying to be negative but we picked hamilton grove based on reviews. This was the night to or day now.

Beautiful facility and the staff is amazing. On even a higher level this company holds respect and dignity throughout its daily operations. Very blessed to have such a community available to those who are in need.
