I don’t know why their are so many poor reviews on here, other than people not understanding since COVID nurses are burned out and overworked. Perhaps be more compassionate as a patient and person towards our professionals. Did you know they are expected to work sometimes 24 hour shifts, away from their families and often without time to even eat or pee!
I had surgery yesterday with Dr. Fry of the OBGYN group there for the removal of my ovary. Dr Fry was compassionate and took great care of myself and my family. My surgery ended up being more challenging than he expected, as I had a ton of scar tissue. Even so, he still made it work by finding an alternative way to continue to operate. The nurses were wonderful. All were very professional and compassionate. The nurse that did my IV was great! It didn’t even leave a bruise!!! The anesthesiologist and medical student that assisted were both kind and supportive (I mean who doesn’t love those guys!)

I was in a car accident this morning and my knee was injured, so I was taken by ambulance (thank you Abby for being so wonderful) to the ER. Everyone was top shelf. Luke at the front desk, Holli with intake, my nurse, Gabby the radiologist, the guys who fitted my knee brace, and the gals who wheeled me around were just fantastic. The Dr I saw, Adam Focht, was one of the nicest, most knowledgeable PA’s I have ever met. His bedside manner was extraordinary and I hope his bosses realize what a gem he is!! I was in and out in less than 2 hours, and I felt so lucky to have such a great team taking care of me. They really set me at ease during a scary situation. The facility was impeccably clean and tidy as well, which shows a level of high quality. I would never hesitate to return there. My sincere thanks to the team for their support, compassion, and professionalism.

Dr Rose Marie Walch, is my MS Nuerologist.
I had an excellent experience with my neurologist. From the moment I walked in, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Walch , & Regan took the time to listen to my concerns, explain my condition in a clear and reassuring way, and create a treatment plan that truly is taylored to my needs.
Fromt dest to blood draw techs are very attentive.
She is compassiate, & her professionalism, and deep expertise made an impact & a peace of mind for my care.
I am incredibly grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend my my team to anyone looking for a knowledgeable & compassionate neurologist.
God Bless,
Paula Hatch

I would give this Emergency Dept ZERO stars if I could. I urge you to think twice before coming here, I promise you it’s worth the drive to somewhere else.
I recently moved into the area where this is the closest Hospital to me. Friday morning my son woke up in extreme pain and with a high fever. I took him to his primary care in Burton and they ran Covid/Flu and strep tests that were negative. We were sent home with pain and fever management. Early Sunday morning he still was set with a very high fever and complaining that the medicine wasn't helping any longer. So seeing my baby in pain and unable to remedy it I decide to take my first trip to this hospital to make sure he doesn’t have any infections that need to be treated as he has asthma. (Remember this)
Regardless of how I was greeted, the was almost no compassion behind anyone except patient intake. Once I’ve explained to everyone in detail what was going on it still seemed like no one cared. They weighed him there and before intake was done the physician came in and wanted to see him there (as to not waste a room I guess?) the intake guy says no I am giving him a room and we proceed to the room.
The doctor came in sometime later and looked at his throat and listened to his lungs to which he said was fine. That was it. I had to volunteer all information to him. He was very clear that he had decided my son was not “sick enough” to be in ER and to keep doing pain management at home. He didn’t order urine sample, or bloods/labs. He didn’t even look at his skin or press his belly with a fever of 103. Was told to follow up with primary care doc in 2-3 days.
Well I DID. 2 days later he still had a fever.
He has PNEUMONIA OF HIS RIGHT LUNG. He needed antibiotics like I suspected. I had to beg them to give him Motrin for his fever. It’s obvious he was in pain. He vomited the meds up while the nurse was in the room and HE WALKED OUT. I left this ER in tears and incredibly disappointed in the care received.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

Recently went in through ER because I was having some bleeding & was past my babies due date. We were taken back immediately and had the most attentive, amazing care possible. The staff prioritized my (dis)comfort and more importantly my unborn babies health! I ended up having our baby delivered by Dr. Frye the next morning as they decided to induce me to be sure my baby was safe and born alive. My partner, family, and I could not be any more pleased with the care we received while at Memorial. Amazing bedside manner, personable and caring staff, they actually cared about our birth plan and even during an emergency induction were able to include all the specifics I hoped for. My OB never even asked once during my pregnancy about a birth plan, so this really stood out to us. We stayed a total of 3 nights and not only did the hospital take amazing care of me, but even went as far as to provide free snacks/meals for my partner while he stayed with us. All of the nurses were amazingly supportive and knowledgeable, any questions we had- they had the answers! We are first time parents so this whole experience was really scary and nerve wracking for both of us, but Memorial didn’t miss a beat. Amy, Mylissa, Alyssa, Tanya, Wendy, Dr. London, Dr. Qaquish and even more staff/nurses whose names I didn’t catch were all SO awesome. We literally cannot thank you all enough. If you are pregnant or planning to be, I strongly advise you consider Memorial for not just your birth but for your prenatal care, too. I really wish we had gone through Memorial for prenatal because I think our whole pregnancy experience would’ve been so much better. Memorial is now our go-to for any emergency or outpatient needs. Again, thank you to the staff for everything!! ❤️
