Be assured Water’s Edge Health and Rehabilitation in Palm City FL is a superior Medicare- approved, skilled-nursing facility specializing in senior care. Patients and family members participate in care planning conference alongside nurse, dietician, social services, and rehab manager, all of whom report to the Medical Director, Dr. Paul Lowery. Medical Director personally monitored patient weekly and even conferred with patient’s hypertension specialist. Water’s Edge Health and Rehabilitation is located within Sandhill Cove, a gated community boasting riverfront campus setting and walkable, beautifully-landscaped grounds that nurture the soul. A positive healing spirit permeates the gathering areas, hallways, and private or semi-private suites inside Water’s Edge Health and Rehabilitation. Linda Kay Nalley was a patient at Water’s Edge Health and Rehabilitation February 18 - March 13, 2025 following 20-days of hospitalization for treatment of Coronavirus, asthma, and uncontrolled hypertension. Vitals were routinely monitored; medication schedule was adhered to; delicious, nutritious breakfast/lunch/dinner menu selections for week chosen by patient; one-on-one physical therapy sessions; group activities; and a reasonable treatment regime provided coordinated rhythm. Patient’s health steadily improved. Uncontrolled BP stabilized thanks to introduction of a new medication. Patient’s experience rated superb in every category!

My 83 year old mom was there for 49 days due to an inoperable broken ankle and was confined to a wheelchair. She has a complicated list of medical issues and long list of daily medicines. We were so happy with the level of care and the personalized, genuinely kind, attention that she received. Everyone did their part to make the whole process easier for my mom. Since she was there for so long, I also got the opportunity to see how they cared for the other patients too. It was loving to see their kindness and respect to the patients who did not have family there to support them. The whole staff works together as a team. I liked the consistency of the same nursing & aides staffing in her wing so everyone was familiar with each of the patient’s needs. Special thanks to nurse Nordia, who was my go to for everything! I know I am forgetting many names (especially the night shift staff), but thank you to nurses Wilmine & Ashlee & Sandra, Lori at the front desk, Pam on wound care, and all the aides: Inovia, MIchele, Jean, Sadilia and Jean. In PT: Jill, Diana, & Jason were motivating and supportive, Tara in food delivery who opened all lids for my mom, June in housekeeping who talked to mom everyday, and social worker Susana and Dr Lowery. You all made a hard time, much better for her and gave her family peace of mind!

I had spent a month there, recovering from a non-displaced femur fracture. The administrative staff, the nursing staff and the food services were top notch. The physical therapists and occupational therapists were experts in their respective fields. A special rave review for Hyacinth, the best CNA that I had ever experienced in any facility that I had ever been in. This facility is situated on the beautiful Sand Hill Cove Retirement Living complex in Palm City Florida. I had a great view from my private room. My wife had selected this facility from several offered by the Case Worker at Encompass, an acute care facility. What a great choice!!

My wife of 72 years stayed here for rehab after a hospital stay. I cannot find words to express my gratitude for the professional and compassionate care she received during her two-week stay. The nurses' aides were kind to both my wife and I- recognizing the stress such situations can cause for folks in their 90s! Making sure my wife's dignity was never compromised, despite her weakened state on arrival. The Nurses were always skillful in the delivery of my wife's treatments. The therapy department encouraged while gently pushing my wife to grow in strength and capability (we are delighted to learn we can return here for outpatient treatment!). And the activities team was always there to coax a smile out of both of us. Oh, the food! Good home cooked taste, even on a special diet. To have such a consistently excellent experience can only point to outstanding leadership! We are so blessed to have this facility in our community.

Words cannot express how special of a place this is. Water's Edge Health and Rehabilitation is an absolute gem. One of a kind. The staff are so committed to helping the patients and families thru the rehabilitation process. Their genuine care, compassion, support and expertise are beyond anything I could have i magined. It's a small close knit family that truly care about their mission and their patients. They have had a profound impact on me, my family, and my father who has been a patient and friend of Waters Edge. I could never express the magnitude of appreciation and admiration for the people of Waters Edge. They are a blessing.
