In 2022, my sister-in-law spent several weeks at this skilled nursing facility while recovering from a rare and aggressive cancer, and I can’t say enough about the level of care she received. From the moment she arrived, the nursing staff treated her with compassion, dignity, and genuine concern. They took the time to understand her diagnosis, her symptoms, and her goals, and they supported her through every difficult moment with patience and kindness.
The therapy team was equally exceptional. They encouraged her, celebrated her progress, and adjusted her rehab plan thoughtfully as her needs changed. What impressed us most was how they balanced professionalism with humanity, pushing her when she needed motivation and slowing down when her body needed rest. Their dedication helped her regain both strength and confidence during an incredibly challenging time.
Our family will always be grateful for the nurses, therapists, and support staff who walked alongside her through her recovery. Their care made a tremendous difference not only in her physical rehabilitation but in her overall well-being. We couldn’t have asked for a better team.

I am a Notary Public and recently provided a Mobile Notary at CareOne at Peabody. The Care center Staff were exceptional and guided me with great clarity. The location is easily accessible, with ample parking available. Overall, a smooth and professional experience. Highly recommended!

I recently had a relative staying at Care One in Peabody, MA. While I want to recognize that the staff is kind, unfortunately, the building is old, with thin walls. The environment made it very difficult to get proper rest at night.
During what should be quiet hours, the corridors were often noisy. Staff spoke loudly in the hallways, the elevator chime was disruptive, and the door to the soiled utility room slammed every few minutes. Despite all my requests to have someone fixing that door. If your room is near the nursing station or elevator, expect to have trouble sleeping. One of the elevators has been "Out of order" for more than a year, according to their own staff.
Another concern is the emotional environment. Many residents suffer from memory-related illnesses such as dementia or Alzheimer’s. It was heartbreaking to witness them crying after visits with family, and there seemed to be little in place to ease that transition. There is no garden or proper outdoor space for residents to relax, and when I tried to take my loved one outside in a wheelchair, there was simply nowhere suitable to go, except a parking lot.
In my opinion, the facility should:
• Fix the slamming door. It's very disruptive, especially at night.
• Enforce quiet hours (9pm–6am) for staff and reduce hallway noise.
• Provide calming, outdoor spaces and activities for residents with memory issues and even for people who are staying there for rehabilitation only.
• Be more attentive to patient’s belongings: They lost one hearing Aid and his personal wheelchair footstep disappeared.
While the staff try to do their best, the environment itself is not conducive to rest or comfort. Sadly, based on my experience, I would not choose this facility for my loved ones.

Abysmal facility with uncooperative staff as they are severely understaffed. They leave patients in adult diapers sitting in their own waste because it’s easier than assisting them to the bathroom or a bedpan.
They do not do scheduled therapy and then say the patient is not trying hard enough and threaten the patient and make her cry telling her they are kicking her out in 48 hours unless she can pay $700 a day. This is a woman with M. S. Partially blind, recovering from cancer surgery, blood clot surgery that they one leg paralyzed with a dropped foot and massive leg pain and chest has blood clots. She is not ambulatory, needs to people to get her out of wheelchair and into bed but they are sending her home. Then the rude nurse turns to the family members in the room and says maybe you should take care of her? Excuse me? Her leg brace has disappeared and no efforts made to retrieve it. Every time I call my 73 year old sister is hysterically crying. This facility should be shut down.

My husband was at CareOne Peabody for only 5 days at the end of his life. My daughter and I can only express gratitude for the thoughtful and generous care we received. Every person we encountered was friendly and caring. They took good care of my husband and bothered to be involved in every aspect of our difficult time. My thanks to each care giver.
