Be very careful, before making the very important choice for a good facility for your loved one. Pay attention to subtle clues. This facility is in Pitman, and if you don't have the right last name or voice, you might be transferred to a an extension that just rings and with NO voicemail available. That will give you an indication that if you need to reach someone about an issue, you'll have problems. United Methodist was our #2 choice as a subacute rehab facility for our loved one. They are no longer on our "wish list". If you see Red Flags, Run!
This review is based on a tour rather than a loved one living here. I toured with my elderly parents and was impressed by the warmth of the staff and staff’s obvious rapport with residents — there was a “family” feeling to the place. The residents we met seemed happy and engaged with their lives. The community is in a great location for anyone who wants to be a quick drive or walk away from a lively downtown area. Our tour gave us the impression that if one of my parent’s need level changed, the staff at Pitman would work hard to keep my parents living together for as long as safely possible. We loved that Pitman made video interviews of residents available prior to our tour and that the videos seemed “homemade” rather than splashy and overproduced, so we felt we could trust what was in them! Pitman was also highly recommended by the law firm we are working with to find the best care for my parents. Although my parents ultimately decided they would prefer somewhere that offers apartments with balconies and two-bedrooms, we felt Pitman would be a great place to live.
The facility staff & residents are very welcoming. Also , when it comes to cleanliness...SUPERB! I fervently hope and pray that I will be a part of the United Methodist Communities family. God bless and be safe us all always! ❣n G❤d We Tru💲t! 🙏men! 🇺🇲💜💙❤💙💚🇵🇭
My mother has been living at the United Methodist Community in Pitman for several years now. It has been a game changer and has improved the quality of her life in her golden years. She has made many many friends, she is always enjoying the activities, and she is very involved in her community. The entire staff is always welcoming and friendly.
