Just wanted to say Western Slopes Healthcare hosted such a beautiful Fall Festival this year. You can tell everyone there enjoyed themselves. You could residents laughing and smiling and taking in the moment just like it was their first time.
The Hot Chocolate Bar was a huge hit- especially with the weather changes. The set up was gorgeous.
Special shot out to the Activity Coordinator, Lady D for bringing so much energy and joy to the day. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time.
The event was dope, and I truly look forward to seeing more of this in the coming year. Thank you again.

I had the pleasure of touring Western Slope , and I was truly impressed from start to finish. the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and immediately gave me peace of mind. The staff Sarah C stood out the most she was warm, professional and genuinely passionate about the care they provide.
What really impressed me was the level of attention to detail. From personalized care plans to the way they interact with residents and families, it's clear that their focus is on dignity, comfort and overall well being. Every question I had was answered by the knowledgeable Sarah and I left feeling confident that this is a place where people are treated like family.
Thank you for everything....

My dad just got to Western Slope this last Saturday, 10/25/2025. I had the pleasure of speaking with Alana before he arrived and she was the sweetest. He had previously been at Gold Country twice before and both times were just not good. There is a lot I have to say about Gold Country, but, I will put that on THEIR website reviews. I can say this, Western Slope has been absolutely fantastic since the day he arrived there. The difference between the two facilities is Western Slope really cares about the patients, Gold Country doesnt. I will praise Western Slope all day long. If you need to have someone you love go to a rehab or skilled nursing facility, please, dont go to Gold Country, bring them to Western Slope. Everyone I have spoken with there is just so nice, sincere and compassionate. They dont just say they care, they show it. Western Slope is the place to go!

I had a wonderful experience visiting Western Slope. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The staff were kind, professional, and attentive to the residents’ needs. I was especially impressed by the engaging activities going on—everyone looked like they were truly enjoying themselves! The live music added such a vibrant touch, and the aroma of fresh popcorn and cookies gave the whole place a cozy, joyful feel. You can tell the team puts their heart into everything they do. A beautiful facility with a genuine sense of care.

Posting review from my husband who had a major stroke on September 1st:
When the hospital released me, they sent me to a rehab place that was supposed to be the best for recovery in the Placerville area. I had a lot of trouble there with depression, insomnia, anxiety, and anger, and requested to move to another location.
When I got to Western Slope there was a smoking section outside. I took a couple hits on my nicotine vape and I was restored to better spirits immediately. So I looked up the side effects of cold turkey withdrawal from nicotine, and a report from the internet shows some of the common symptoms include: feeling frustrated, irritable or angry, feeling sad or depressed, feeling anxious of jumpy, trouble concentrating, trouble sleeping (insomnia).
Who could get better with all those symptoms of nicotine withdrawal?
Another good thing about moving to Western Slope Healthcare, was they have a button that opens the doors to the outside where the other place didn't. The first place had a million-dollar dining room, but the money would be better spent on doors that opens open itself. That should be a law for people in wheelchairs and walker's trying to get out in and out of those heavy doors by themselves.
At the first place they seemed like they were concentrating on your physical health, at Western Slope they treated the whole body, mind and spirit.
I enjoyed my stay there for most of the part, with some outstanding help from Kimber and other nurse assistants that came in to help me - they are the true angels of the world, doing a divine service, helping those who cannot help themselves. Also had great results from Jake with physical therapy. So overall, it's not paradise, they do have hospital food with no salt, but I'm giving them five stars and highly recommend them.
