The worst place to take your loved ones. Back in 2020 my fiance was in Generations i would get calls all the time from my fiance saying they wouldn't take her to the bathroom food would be late maintenance issues would take days to get fixed. If you call the state of Illinois I'm sure they have to tell you this place has had so many complaints on them.

Worse place to put a loved one. They did not have anything ready for my husband when he got there. He was there for therapy and we chose this place because he is on dialysis and they have in house treatment there. The dialysis ladies are 100%wonderful. The therapy ladies don't do anything .He was there for 9 days had I had to call meeting with administration, social worker, head of nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy to get anything done. But at the end of the meeting I still felt as if they didn't care to anything. They can not even accommodate the patient with a recliner or even a chair to set in. An old dialysis chair was brought to his room that looked like mice had had their way with it. They told my husband that most patients just sit on the edge of their beds or in a wheelchair all day. They also have Jack and Jill bathrooms which is nasty and not even big enough for 2 people to be in there at the same time to help my husband use the restroom. My husband is in mobile and there would be times that they would just leave him in a bed in pain from not being turned or moved. It took me 9 days to get him the he'll out of there. I am sure the committed some kind of insurance fraud billing for therapy they weren't even doing. The commercial is a BIG FAT LIE

Worse place to be. The food isn't edible they serve food even if its cooked all the way or not. The staff is horrible minus a few good ones that also get treated like they are trash. The therapy people doesnt do really anything then blame it on insurance. The nursing staff turns off call lights and never changes you. My mother has gone all day without being changed then when I call they blame it on her. Please look else where this place needs to be shut down

My Husband was there for awhile. The worst place to go. When he had call light on they would come in and shut the light off and said they would be back, but came back and hour later. My Husband went to ER twice since he was there. The one time was his blood sugar was low, it was 25. Amy the administrator should not be working there she is very rude and she told my Husband if he don't like it there, he can leave. July 23,2024 my Husband had appointment in Peoria on his fracture in his back. They said his appointment was rescheduled to Sept. They lied. I talked to Haydon who is from OSF about the appointment and he said it was still for the 23rd. The reason they wanted the appointment changed because the driver would not be back in time to go to her other job. July 23rd our insurance agent met me there at Generations to help get Tim in my van. Aide was helping us, lady from the office came out and pushed the aide away and said they weren't going to help us. The Administrator and the other lady just stood there and watched. Insurance agent and I got Tim in the back of the van. Tim rode all the way to Peoria laying in the back. The staff in Peoria at my Husbands appointment was very upset that they let Tim ride that way and not buckled up. They wanted to know the name of the facility. The staff at Peoria got a hoyer and put my Husband in the back seat of the van and buckled him up. Do Not Take Your Loved One To Generations of Rock Island. I Hope They Close That Place Down. The Peoria staff was able to put Tim in the van for me.

I found just two kinds of staff there. The very caring and the 'attitude'. There weren't many of the latter, but they leave a lasting impression and reporting them did no good. On the final day of my sister's life, I had big problems with a nurse who was refusing to follow instructions on administering morphine. It got real scary for awhile. Hospice had to drive over in the middle of the night to straighten out the problem. No administrator reached out to any member of our family to offer any kind of apology or relate any kind of disciplinary action that may have taken place. There were three nurses on that floor that my sister grew very fond of and I will be forever grateful to them for their genuine care.
