I’ve had plenty of issues with this nursing home before. My mom’s call light would take forever to get answered, management never got back to me, and some of the staff were just plain disrespectful. I honestly got to the point where I wanted to pull my mother out. But then the new administrator came in, and things felt different. He got back to me right away about my concerns and reassured me that things would start getting handled in a timely manner. When I met him, he was this bright, motivated young guy who actually seemed to care. He talked about wanting to improve the facility and boost staff morale, and I believed him he was really engaging, positive, and friendly. I’ve seen a lot of administrators come through this building, but he genuinely seemed dedicated to making real changes.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My poor grandmother was placed at this nursing home which is not clean and smells horribly. The staff would only help her shower 1x week and at times didn’t change her clothes from one day to the next. She wasn’t taken care of or supervised. My grandmother had dementia and would wonder. On numerous occasions staff had no idea where my grandmother was. My grandmother was mentally not well but physically healthy when she entered south shore rehab, however after 4 weeks of being there she fell and declined rapidly and passed away. No one at South Shore rehab could explain how my grandmother fell. This place is a disgrace of a nursing home, that offers little to no care, and no supervision. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone

Absolutel horror show! No communication between the departments. Facility is filthy. Staff is unresponsive if speak language @ all! Food I won't feed my dog. Medication that is suppose to administer on a schedule. Is sometimes days late. Phone lines to call patients room or front desk is allways out of service. Say your call can't be completed @ this time. Patients can't make calls out to family or emergency if needed. This place is a horror show. Demoralizing patients. Providing no services such as P.T. or O.T. to allow patients to b discharged.

The place is a rat infested filthy rehab. Rats running through patients room. Call light don't get answered. Staff is not friendly and constantly speaking in their language. If you go there you will not get better you will decline from the neglect.

My precious elderly friend has been in this rehab for about two months now. She has had several negative incidents with staff (injuring her etc), not to mention mice that we have literally seen run around her room. The food is not good or safe.. they give choking hazards like corn to elderly people.. We have seen it… hard overcooked meat and undercooked vegetables. Most of the staff are less than desirable to be around. When you need help and press the button, it could be 1, 2 or three hours before someone comes to help!! My friend has been in a wet depend for well over an hour or more after calling for help to get changed…. And they don’t like to change the commode often, that’s another issue….I heard the same complaints from her roommate. The charge nurse has been somewhat understanding of the issues, and great towards my friend, but I think she hast to stay neutral due to her position there. There has been much documentation about all that has happened there with my dear friend so far. We are ALL beside ourselves at the care she has been given or lack there of.. I can’t even have a phone conversation with her without getting disconnected every couple minutes or less .. They’ve swapped phones with her and still the same problem!! She’s in so much pain from an incident that happened there! She’s worse off now than when she went in there. Do NOT send your loved one there!!! I just found out today that they interrogated her after they found out I did a Google review.. Apparently, they put two and two together…It breaks my heart to talk to her and hear about all of these issues over and over again! Between the food that she can’t eat, the commode issues, the constant pain she’s in now because of something that happened while there, not being able to talk on the phone without getting disconnected constantly, AND the fact that it takes so long for someone to come in when they need help! I’m sorry, but three hours .. even 2 hours IS too long!!!! They asked her a question today, some thing that was in my review. Only they didn’t ask it correctly… So she said no…. They will never get to the bottom of the problems, they only want to hide them! I’m sorry, but that is the truth I see!! I love her with my whole heart and she does not deserve this. Neither does your loved one!!
