I recently had a family member there. Each time I visited the facility was always clean without odors. He was always taken care. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this facility to anyone that needs long term or short term care.

So I've been waiting for a while to do my review of this place since my mother died due to their lack of care. My mother passed away on September 24th this year. She has been there for about 4 years due to complications with a kidney transplant. After my mother received a new kidney she was only able to stay home for about a year and a half. She was in and out of the hospital at UT due to a UTI that she would keep on getting. Well, she ended up in the nursing home which signature started off great. Don't know what happened over the last few years, but the lack of care was crazy. And from day one the intent for her was to come back home. To me whenever she got close enough to talk about coming home something would change like they would keep her sick so she couldn't come home. For anyone considering this nursing home for a transplant patient don't. They don't keep in touch with the transplant doctor like they should with the urine and blood work that is needed for the transplant team to make adjustments to the rejection meds. They are not the ones to be making those decisions. I found out by the Medical records from UT and by phone talking with them the day she died that they haven't sent them anything for about 2years. So within her last 2 months there I had told them 4 times that they were to call the transplant team due to issues she was having. Every time she would get a UTI she would get a really bad ecoli infection and would be admitted to the hospital. So by the 4th time which was the same day she died, they were finally trying to get her to UT but she was too sick to even make the trip. That they had to stop at Morristown ER on the way to try and get her stable mind you they passed Rogerville hospital right next to them if she was that bad they should've taken her there way before this. Because she was septic and she had aspirated during CPR she come in to the ER a full code. They got her back but coded again. The doctor at the ER called me and said she was very very sick and she needed attention way before this mind you I told them 2 months ago for her to go to UT 4 times in 2 months. Now before they get on here and try to say they couldn't get a hold of me. That's BS. They might not be able to get me on my phone much due to me working 12-hour swing shifts so I'll either be at work or asleep but the emergency backup number is my wife. They hardly called her but a few times. And if you think your loved one would be protected from falls in a nursing home you are wrong and it could even be worse for them Just look at the pic I posted this mom with one of her falls at the nursing home.

My brother- in -law was recently admitted to Signature Healthcare of Rogersville with a terminal illness. During his two week stay, he was treated with care, compassion and respect. The staff at Signature was always eager to help to ensure he was comfortable and well taken care of. During his passing, they were polite and respectful to the family. I would highly recommend Signature to anyone. Michelle Hoskins, DON, always kept us updated on his progress and needs. Thanks to all Signature staff for the wonderful care you provided.

My brother was recently admitted with a terminal illness to Signature HealthCare of Rogersville. During his two week stay he received excellent care. The staff who attended to him is Top Notch. They always ensured he was well taken care of and his needs were met in a direct and timely manner. The staff and administration were helpful and quick to address and solve any questions or problems that came up. All insurance issues were handled without any distress added to family. After his passing, all staff were compassionate and respectful. Proper notifications were made in a timely manner and handled very professionally. Michelle Hoskins, DON, is outstanding. Don't know what we would have done without her. Recommend Signature HealthCare to family, friends and others who need to quality healthcare.

My Mother had an extended hospitalization in Johnson city that I was not really happy with, she had a tracheostomy tube, had a significant fall and on oxygen, had finished treatment for pneumonia , was given blood, needed therapy and honestly I thought this would take forever to get her back to her norm and be able to go home. I am a nurse myself and have been a long time and I was a little worried in general about a skilled nursing facility because of the recent bad experience we had been dealing with at Johnson city plus knowing how overworked they are, but make no mistake, you didn’t know it at all by the care she received there. The director of nursing on day one, Michelle Hoskins ,literally in one conversation with her I knew that my mother was in good hands. She reassured me which sometimes can be hard to do. And after seeing how they immediately had a plan for my mother the same as I did on day one, I was able to relax and breathe again myself. The nurses are wonderful.. someone got her food the first night (she made it late after supper) and they all know what they are doing. She didn’t ever have to ask, they were available and present, caring and knowledgeable. Trach care and suctioning, trach sizes, breathing treatments, etc. I was ready to hug the speech therapist Keith(he is an exceptional therapist and human) because he too worked to get her trach out (day one he set the goal) , set goals and discussed so much with my mother. Explained everything in such detail and we both needed that. We had a lot of worries going in but none after they started to rehab her. Sarah with Physical therapy set goals, discuss them, discussed them with her and me, I already knew physical therapy was great but Sarah just also made her time special. Carmen is the case manager and she is always doing something to help, she along with the others knew what the plan was she didn’t have to look it up, she was three steps ahead of anything and I just can’t say enough positive things about them. The NPs my mom loved and the providers as well. The psych NP allowed her to discuss a lot too that she probably needed to and anyway , So in one week they had my mother off oxygen and trach removed and healed up, walking circles around me, she was working in their flowerbed (supervised of course and safely) but this is who my mother is she loves being outside and likes to exercise and wants to run instead of walk. They have her doing all the things!! And she is now home in a bit over a week.!!! I think needless to say Signature healthcare comes highly recommended from me and my family!! Thank you so much to all the staff!! We love and appreciate you ALL from the bottom of our hearts. 💕
