ST AUGUSTINE HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTER

I had to place a star in order to make a review - otherwise it would have a no star review. I had my mother there THINKING it was a good place since it is near my home. It actually was the worse place and I would never recommend. My mother had a single room and had an emergency while there that she had to be seen at Flagler Hospital. She was gone for a couple of hours and when we got back they placed another person in her room - my mother’s belongings were packed at the door and several of her items were stolen. I had to go to laundry room to where none was found. When I went the next day to make aware to the manager she wasn’t listening and just kept eating her lunch with her husband as if she could care less. Also the nurse that past meds didn’t wear gloves and was handling medication in an unsanitary way. Not once did the manager help me find or approach the missing (expensive) clothing my mother lost

My dad stayed here for 5 days while I had respite through hospice. He has alzheimers and was taken care of fairly well while here. I visited him everyday but one and would send him here again if I was able. I have been taking care of him for 5 years at his home and this was a good break for both of us. This place is clean, staff are friendly and approachable.

After reading the reviews I was very apprehensive about placing my dad here, but it was the only place that would take him the day he was released from the hospital. We even considered moving him, but I’m so glad we didn’t. It’s not the newest or the fanciest place. But the facility was clean and everyone was very considerate and caring for my dad, even when he wasn’t the most cooperative person. He was always clean and usually out of bed, he was in therapy or sitting in a chair. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and caring to my dad and to the rest of the family as well!

I don't know where all the negative comments come from but I have not had any problems with this facility with my love one and if I did you all would know it. When people help other people someone is always disappointed but that doesn't mean the entire facility is bad. Get up and go visit your love ones and understand they are in a nursing home facility and not your home. Question is why did you put them here and leave them. Apparently you trusted the process now continue to watch the process unfold before your eyes or not. This is not your home but a nursing facility where everyone that comes here for care deserves some attention Some needs more than others...Think before you speak.

My mom has been in this facility for 3 years. She is very happy here and the staff truly loves her. They try their best and when we encounter an issue they take care of it. The staff always responds to emails and concerns we may have.
