GREENDALE FOREST NURSING AND REHABILITATION CENTER

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE PLACE. My mother was admitted over a weekend. I got there the next day. She AND her roommate were lying in the dark, soiled and crying. My mother had NO WATER. Her call button was on the floor behind the bed. The nurse was spraying fly spray at the nurse's station and flies were on her scrubs. The bathroom was filthy. It was so hot my mom was coughing and choking. We opened the window only to discover the smoking area was just outside the window. I had her moved to what I thought was a " nicer" room. The bathroom was again, filthy. The wall was destroyed. Because it was a weekend, she couldn't be evaluated by PT or OT and was not allowed to have a wheelchair or walker. Consequently, she fell trying to get to the bathroom. They sent her to the ER because her BP was dropping after the fall. She returned to the facility only to be returned AGAIN to the ER. It was a nightmare. I will be reporting them to DHHS.

We went to visit a friend. It was an amazing facility. So clean and the staff so kind and helpful. Our friend was involved in playing in bingo and he was so happy. Bingo is twice a day and gives him lots of to look forward to. I’ve visited so many facilities over the years and this particular place was by far a stellar facility. Great cleanliness, staff, and care. Very impressed!!! Thankful for our friend that he’s in such a great place to call home away from home.

I was cautious because they had been flagged for mistreating patients , but my father went there and he had a wonderful experience ! The food was horrible by the lady Brenda there , but what do you expect she looks nasty ! But overall my father’s experience was great smile. If I had to choose I would go it all over again and choose this facility 😃

My cousin has been a resident for about 4 years and my random visits have been pleasant and fulfilling. He is always clean and smiling. His room is always clean and he is comfortable with his stay here. The staff is friendly and my observations are that all residents are treated the same. This is a great facility for people who need this kind of support. Greene County is blessed to have this Greenedale Forest facility

My father was at Greendale Forest for over a month before we went to be with the Lord. Every time I would stop in for an unannounced visit , the nurses and aids had been attentive to him. It was very reassuring. They gave him daily baths and ensured he was clean, since he was incontinent. My sister and I would call sometimes in the late evening and the nurses were very compassionate. I do think God they had an opened bed for daddy. They will always have a special place in my heart!
