The nurses were outstanding with the exception of one. The afternoon nurses were really good. When I first got here, the aides seemed to have an attitude. But that got better with time. More positivity is needed with some of them. Some staff need to find another job if they can't handle the task. Patients shouldn't be the recipients of a bad attitude. The food was okay.

The nurses and aides were real nice to me. When I asked for something, I got it. I didn't have to wait. And I would recommend somebody to come here. They even got me a new mattress. And even the student nurses and instructor were nice. And the therapists were nice to me. And the staff was nice to my family. And they always answered my call light.

I am writing to share feedback regarding my mother, Ms. Bailey, who was a patient at your rehabilitation center following a significant injury—a fractured hip. She was admitted on September 12th and discharged on October 17th. Upon our arrival, my family and I were impressed by the facility's cleanliness and the pleasant atmosphere. My mother expressed satisfaction with her room, and the nursing staff conducted a comprehensive assessment, promptly identifying and treating early signs of bedsores, for which we were grateful. Throughout her stay, my mother had the opportunity to participate in various social activities, such as the delightful ice cream social. This event not only lifted her spirits but also fostered connections with other residents, reinforcing her sense of community during this challenging time. However, our experience took a concerning turn when my mother, after an unfortunate accident, required immediate assistance. We had clearly communicated her preference for female nurses to assist her with personal care. Regrettably, a nurse, whom I will refer to as “Damn Gina,” dismissed our concerns and insisted that a male aide would assist her. This disregard for my mother’s stated preferences caused considerable discomfort for our family. After expressing our concerns, we requested the intervention of a supervisor, who subsequently ensured that a female nurse was assigned to assist my mother. Moreover, it is worth noting that my mother encountered significant delays when she activated her call button for assistance. There were instances when she had to rely on her own strength to navigate to the bathroom and manage her hygiene independently. This situation posed a risk to her safety and well-being, especially given her fragile condition during rehabilitation. While we recognize that there were positive aspects of her care—such as the attentive and cheerful demeanor of some nursing staff members—I hope this feedback will be utilized to refine training practices and reinforce the importance of honoring the unique needs and preferences of elderly patients. Thank you for your attention to these matters. Regards, The Bailey Family

The staff seems very attentive. Physical Therapy has been very polite and motivate my mom to do the exercises. The socializing is good for my mom and I hope she gets back to getting out of her room more.
