We are still looking at places for a family member but I wanted to share something unique about this place I saw. I loved how The Memory care had lots of access to green space! This is the first place memory care place I’ve seen with trees, grass and room access to outside patios. As someone with a high functioning ALZ relative this has been a very difficult journey. The inside did look a little like a hospital but the residents seemed happy, well taken care of and safely able to enjoy the beautiful day outside. So many other Memory Care facilities have only had a single patio, no green space or nature for residents. Most memory care facilities have been extremely depressing to visit and often smelled like there were hygiene issues. I also toured the AL side and loved the size of the rooms. Yes this place is dated but there are more important things when finding a safe place for a loved one.
Our family has had an incredible experience with the skilled nursing section of this facility. The food is wonderful and they have organized all outside appointments including transportation. The nurses are so kind and are always available to give updates. PT/OT are very effective in rehabilitation and the care team really listens and makes changes whenever needed. We have felt safe and incredibly well cared for. Highly recommend!
My aunt is in memory care. The entire staff has been nothing but AMAZING. They’re so caring and competent. I live on the east coast and it’s so reassuring that she’s receiving such good care since I can’t visit very often. Highly recommend this wonderful facility!!
My mother lived there for over a year, then passed. She loved the place, and the staff. Every visit I made, the staff was supper nice, and very helpful. Great facility. Highly recommend.
Wonderful, caring staff members are the heart of this senior living community. They've brought my frail 91 year old father back to reasonable health after a head injury he got from a preventable fall in a different SoCal SNF. He's in the SNF Elmwood Care Center, but spends a lot of time in the gardens, PT rooms, and beautiful main activity/dining room enjoying the entertainment. A family member visits everyday and the staff is completely open and helpful to us, despite their busy, challenging jobs.
