Alaska Gardens Health and Rehabilitation

My dad was taken care of by the staff of Alaska Gardens, and they did an exceptional job. His end of life care was great and one me and my family are forever grateful for. I would like to shout out Geneva and Emma as two people I think are exemplary at their jobs and approach each day with full effort and care. Five stars any day of the week.

Our brother was in Alaska Gardens for 50 plus days. He had a private room which was really nice for him due to the intense healing he needed from cancer surgery. Once he was able to move the PT team came in and helped him walk again with encouragement and exercises. The staff was very friendly and chatted him up while in his room. Geneva and Emma were amazing! They walked the family through his insurance coverage, ensuring before he left their facility he had all the necessary tools and information he needed for a continued successful recovery. We are very thankful for all the staff did for our brother.

My mother-in-law was mostly happy with her two week stay there. The place looks and smells clean. Most of the staff was kind and competent, Jose was great. They seemed fully staffed as far as I could tell. She didn't love the food but said some of it was good. We would recommend Alaska Gardens.

The facility was spotlessly clean, the staff with whom we met were knowledgeable and cordial and the information on the meds and care being provided to our loved one was VERY HELPFUL! My father in law was treated here over ten years ago and I have to say this experience was light years better in appearance and professionalism. If I had to offer an improvement or suggestion I would suggest providing more weather resistant small tables and chairs in the garden space. On nice days, like when we were there, I had to walk around and scare up other, heavy, cast iron garden furniture... And even then there was no seating for staff when we met for the patient progress conference/review. Respectfully, P & K

I picked up my mom for what was supposed to be a couple hour outside visit. When I got to Alaska Gardens all was good. My mom was so happy & excited to bust free for a bit. She was talking about seeing our dogs, the fresh air, the beautiful weather, me making her lunch, I was able to get her in her wheelchair, outside and in my car no problem. We had a short trip home 1.2 miles to be exact. I pull into the driveway and it turned to Hell. My mom said her stomach hurt, she started crying, she messed herself. I tried to get her out of my car, I couldn't. She couldn't stand, she became super weak, just heavy, stopped talking clear, mumbly, she was a noodle. My daughter and I got her inside, took forever holding her up and lifting one foot, the other and walking for her up the steps. Once inside she got so sick Vomit, never ending diarea She couldn't move, she was exhausted, sick and just in like a collapsed state. Called 911 and they brought her to the hospital. Alaska Gardens gave her a laxative for her constipation and she was given opioids right before I picked her up. They didn't tell me. Insanity on their part, negligent. She is dehydrated, strung out, still constipated ( the drugs ) has a horrible UTI, her hip is in extreme pain ( waiting on xrays now ) suffering with memory ( UTI symptom ), bed sores etc This was Monday 9/15/25 and she is still in the hospital today Thursday 9/18/25
