This placed smelled like raw sewage. I got her a little after five and it's now almost eleven with no meds or feeding tube in place. Roommate has tv still on full blast after asking her to please turn down the TV. I plan on leaving in the morning. Do not come here if you value your health.
My mom was there and they took very great care of her the staff was really sweet and polite and I would recommend them because they will take care of your loved ones and make sure they're clean make sure they're fed make sure that they are comfortable. I would even go there to stay. I want to thank the whole staff you guys are all awesome.
I am doing best to transfer my loved one out of this horrible place. Dirty suuroundings, poorly trained staff who spend the majority of their time gossiping at their station loudly, which includes all night. I think this staff thinks like the next station in life is death..and that people dont have minds left.so why care? In the three days that my loved one has been there, it has literally blown my mind. Dirty toilets shared by multiple clients. Actual poop on the seat. Garbage not emptied in that time that he has been there. My loved one said he had a scheduled shower today at one. We left before that so he happened. Mind blowing! One woman was in the same spot today as when I left yesterday! I wonder if anyone knows she is there. My first encounter here was a request from me to to a male staff person to help my loved one get comfortable from a broken neck injury. I needed help on how to make him more comfortable. I was told by that staff member that he could do this on his own. He had just been transported in a ambulance from Harborview that same morning with a broken neck!!! I was incredulous!! He swore to me that he saw him get up and go to the bathroom. Again...incredulous!! He left the room without even showing me how to move my loved one on my own as I asked because he repeated my loved one could do it on his own. I will be reporting him...I will also be reporting to the health department. While I understand employee morale is important and that laughter is great, your staff are also there to provide the care that they are paid for. While my first encounter left me stupefied, I continue to be blown away by all of this. Seriously. We will be looking to get him transferred ASAP but until that happens I am sending this email ahead of the fact should he receive further injury.
Walked into a facility that is currently dealing with COVID cases on the opposite wing BUT EVERY STAFF is wearing a mask and plastic shield mask to cover entire face. I can't wrap my head around this. It's so unsettling. How do you still allow visitors here and how does a patient get transferred to a Facility that is contaminated with COVID patients. There is no sense of safety or peace of mind knowing that a loved one is placed at this location. Showers are limited to 2x a week per schedule (this is inhumane). Restrooms are shared with the patients next door even if they are the opposite sex. Where's the SAFETY here!!! Staff congregate and socialize as if patients are not in need of attention. Visitors just roam around without being questioned by Staff. I feel so bad that my Loved One is at this Facility. I can't believe this place is even up and running. OMG!!!
I have only been here for a few days, but I have to say my stay here thus far has been absolutely wonderful. The staff-from CNA to administrative- has been amazingly kind, compassionate, and patient with all of my physical and emotional needs here. It is a refreshing change from the last place I was at (Heartwood Extended Care), where the administration treats their CNA's and residents horribly. Everyone here has listened to my specific needs here and dealt with them with professionalism and knowledge of just how to care for my wounds, yet still treats me like a human being instead of a number to be dealt with. They also take the time to listen to my emotional concerns and have shown such kindness, it gets me all emotional just thinking about it. I highly recommend bringing your loved one here for temporary or permanent care. You will be glad you did!
