This place is horrible!! My vetenam veteran daddy was released from ICU and taken there for rehabilitation...LMAO please the first day I go visit he is facing the wall his drinking glass of room temperature water was across the room the tv shut off HOT as Heck AC not working properly no nurses button and NO OXYGEN!! Are u serious!! Then tells me he keeps messing with the nose hose that's why only one piece was in one nostril.. then Monday showed up he was looking like he didn't feel good again...of course everything time except sat he was laying down in bed( one of the oldest beds) a staff member said..he is there because he had severe pneumonia only had four pills left which was one day and one for the next day he and I'm getting pneumonia again the day he went to the hospital I went and got him a hot fudge sundae from dairy Queen he didn't even have oxygen on the machine wasn't on at all again he couldn't operate the TV because it had two remote controls he has onset of dementia so with having a UTI and the pneumonia it's really made the dementia worse. So for him to function the TV is hard then the RN wants to tell me maybe she is the Don I'm not sure... that I need to start telling him he needs to start working and pushing harder to walk or at least wheel his own wheelchair. He has Parkinson's he's weak he's had pneumonia for 2 months and you're going to tell me to tell my dad to start doing more he is physically drained tired and you guys are just leaving him laying down in bed which made it worse... So the day I went to dairy Queen( with no oxygen on ,) that night about 11:00 pm they called saying that they're going to take him to hospital because he can't breathe his oxygen is at 71 I guarantee you it's because he had no oxygen on from the time I left at lunch time maybe dinner time to cafeteria but after that he didn't have it on the whole time that's why my Daddy went back into the ER that's why this place is horrible they just leave a Vietnam veteran in the corner of a hot building unattended don't do any exercises with him and don't go check on him. Until it's time for staff to go smoke make last round
My husband was forgotten about here. Sometimes they would forget to bring him meals, never got him out of his bed, yelled at him for asking for help, and tried to abandon him at the hospital. He was paralyzed from the neck down and contracted ecoli from this nursing home and died at age 46. Do not put your loved one here.
Worst management and care ever. The rooms may look nice. Communication is worse than terrible. Had a family member there, and the daily care was done by myself most of the time. They do what they do best by passing the buck. No one in that facility cares enough to take care of the residents. The administrator does not like confrontation, so none of the problems get addressed. If you have a family member in a nursing home, please check on them. Address the issues! His food was put in his room, even tho he is a choke hazard. Also, the administrator, Frances has the nerve to give the facility a 5 star review. Perhaps he's desperate. 10/2025 Ridgecrest has a new administrator, so hopefully the place becomes a better place for patients.!
The one star is ONLY because it won't let me leave a negative star review! 0 out of 10- I DO NOT reccomend!!!
This place is terrible they treat there residents like garbage as well as the staff this place shouldn't exist it is foul that we put older people in a place as disgusting as this.!!!!!
