RIVER EDGE REHABILITATION AND NURSING

Management leaves alot to be desired. Count never get a straight answer from the social worker or business office manager. Care staff was decent, but took "shortcuts" in some of the car that needed to be provided. There always seemed to be enough aides working when I would visit. The rooms were filthy, the building overall was pretty gross. Room furniture is busted or dated/old. I never saw a housekeeper while visiting. AC units in the rooms hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Packed full of dust and dirt. The food is terrible. Small portions, no flavor, and all around crummy choices for meals, especially weekend meals. Physical therapy team? I wouldn't even can it that. Forgetting to turn on my loved one's oxygen for the whole time they were in PT. Counting a discharge plan meeting as their PT for the day before my lived one was discharged from the facility. Residents look unsalted and unclean/ unkempt.

I have a family member at this facility and Everytime I visit there I'm greeted by friendly staff My family member is always telling me how well the staff takes care of her. They treat her like family. The facility is always clean. I'm glad I chose River Edge for her and I highly recommend this facility.

The receptionist seemed nice and tried to help me, as best she could, but once I was forwarded, to a nurse that was on my mother's wing, she was very rude, wasn't interested in helping me and left me with even more questions and concern for my mother. I was calling trying to get information on my mom's situation. Because she's been calling me telling me that the nurses have been very rude to her and since her being there, they have changed all of her medication that she has been on for twenty six years without even consulting with her primary care, that she doesn't even get to see while she's there. I really hope this place makes a change for the better because if they keep going in this direction...I'm very worried about people's loved ones.

My grandmother recently got admitted here as a resident. The activities department has really made her time there pleasant. The staff is very kind and welcoming.

This is terrible place to put your love one. If you need help they will let you ring for over 1 hr. Only to find employees at nurses station hanging out. My love one layed in solied linen until family member ask for clean linen. My love one was always soiled. I could go on and on. If I could give zero stars I would.
