APPLEWOOD CENTER

The staff at Applewood are totally amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Applewood! My Mom stayed there for five years, and has been gone for five years today also. My dear friend past today. She was transferred on Wednesday to spend her remaining days. Once again the staff was awesome! Thank you

It was ok… it’s really nice on the outside. Not bright and cheery on the inside. The patients need fresh air. They need better hygiene attention. They need to be encouraged to be out and about. Not 24/7 in their room. I was very happy to see a house cat. And the parakeet s were beautiful. I also thought having music through out was fabulous . Not a lot of staff.

If you care for your loved ones, don’t leave them at Applewood. The facility isn’t as clean as you would expect it to be, patients eat in the hallways, rooms are small and uncomfortable, if you want a TV in your room it will be 2 feet from the bed. Don’t let them do the laundry for your family member either, they lose clothes, I had to keep replacing them. My father was there after a hospital stay and then developed pneumonia and the flu, he was too week for PT but they just turned that into him not being cooperative. At one point they told me he was depressed and recommended Hospice!!! He was 96 years old and had just lost his wife of 66 years. We finally moved him to a new facility and he is doing wonderful, the facility is clean, the staff is exceptional, they eat in a dining room and there are all kinds of activities and if you can’t get to the activity room they come and get you, they go outside when it’s warm and he participates in the daily activities…….the person they recommend for hospice! My father is a new man since he left Applewood and is happy being a resident where he is now. And the exceptional care he is receiving is costing us less than it did at Applewood.

In my experience with Applewood's management and staff, I have found them to be competent and caring. They've kept me and my family updated on the status of my wife's progress and they seem to be genuinely concerned about her wellbeing.

Everyone at Applewood is remarkable. They have a mission of making sure that everyone is happy. Food, staff and nursing have gone overboard to make sure that everyone is comfortable, caring, healthy and happy. I give them 5 stars.
